End Of Year 1

Today is the last day of the school term. Yeah school’s over and holidays are coming. But there is Chinese AO examination on 5 Nov and Project Work Oral Presentation on 8 Nov. All these are part of the GCE A level examination. Although many people disregard Chinese as we now only need a D7 and we can forget about it for the rest of year 2 in Junior College (JC). However I think that Chinese is very important. With the rising China, we really could not tell whether if China would be the next super power of the world. Furthermore, Chinese is our only mother tongue, so how could students nowadays hate it so much? I really have no answer for this. Many claim that English is important and therefore they concentrate on English alone and neglect Chinese. The irony is, these people sux in English too. So which is their ‘strong’ language? Is it the Singlish, which in my opinion is pure rubbish. Some people are actually proud of their poor English and find these lame excuses to cover up their tracks. Why can’t we just admit that we are speaking poor English and continue to learn from others instead of ‘creating’ a new identity and try to promote it?
Last day of the school year is here and it is time for us to receive our overall results for the year, which includes all test, exams and conduct. Today is also the day to know when people will know whether they can be promoted or be retained for another year or even worse get kicked out of the college. Fortunately I am promoted and can move on to year 2. However I did not do very well for this year. Here are my overall results:
· Mathematics A
· Biology C
· Chemistry C
· Physics C
· General Paper B4
· Chinese AO C5
My only comments that I think I should reflect on is that I should be more sensitive to the feelings of others. I think I should change but some people are just too barbaric to use human words to talk to. But never mind project work is coming to an end. So I won’t have to deal with uncouth people anymore. Hopefully.
I want to do Biology and Mathematics S paper right from beginning of the year. However looking at my results now, I think that the chance is slim although Mr Goh says its ok to try. So I will try as giving up is the real failure. Praying hard and wishing for the best is all I can do now.
No matter how I have performed for this year, its time to let it go and move on with life. Next year would be more hectic and difficult and I need to prepare myself for the battle. To achieve 4 As is my greatest goal for next year.
Hike

Went for a hike today. Its for the OCIP China trip. Honestly I cannot understand the purpose of the trip. Maybe its to let us experience the type of terrain we would be traveling at China or maybe just to identify the fit and not so fit people in the team. Ya so we meet at 8 30 at Mac Richie car park. My friend and me happen to miss the stop. So walk a bit to reach the car park. However so people were late arriving only at 8:45. We hike from the reservoir all the way to Bukit Timah. It was 10km of walking and my legs were nearly detached after walking. Along the way, we had to walk on a huge pipe to cross over. When I first saw that, I was thinking WTF are we gonna walk across this thing. What if we drop down. But its very safe. So no worries. Haha.
There were steep slopes to climb during the hike too. Wow this is fun. Hope China has more interesting terrain. When we finally reach Bukit Timah, we had to fend off monkeys trying ways and means to grab our food. One guy had his chocolate bar rob from him by a monkey tarzan. Boy that sure is funny. Haha. Next we had a briefing and assignment of roles. I was group with Hui Ling and a girl called ShaoRu and we are surpossed to teach the kids at China about body parts and direction. We must be creative and I have no idea how to do that. Never mind just let the girls think. Hehe.
Next it was heading home. Took 852 and went straight home and rest my legs.

This really describes my mood right now. I got back my physics paper 3 and I got a real shock. 22/60. What the HELL is wrong with me!!!! I can’t take it anymore. For this year, I have been trying very hard. Completed all tutorials diligently, I even did homework till I fall asleep. Yet this is the type of results I got. WHY IS IT LIKE THIS SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHY WHY WHY.
Since coming to JC, all my results have been bad, and simply terrible. Oh what is happening. Am I really not suitable for JC. Hardwork does not pay off any more. I work so HARD and this is what I get.
Maybe I will consider dropping physics or just pia for 2 years and be without life. Oh somebody tell me what should I do.
Promo Blues

It’s been very long since I updated. Been busy studying for promos. Haiz it’s a hectic week. Everyday is study, study and more studying. But wasted 3 days in bed due to severe headache. Hiaz, hoping to stay at home to study but fall sick instead. This is really not my year, been falling sick for god knows how many times. Anyway I am so worried about my promos. I could not finish any paper completely. I am so screwed this year. Maybe I am not suitable to be in a JC or maybe I am just not adapted yet. Chemistry is the worst. I only did 4 out of 6 essay questions. But structured wasn’t that bad only could not do a few. Physics paper 3 was a screwed up too. But Biology and Maths is considered best. Haha anyway I LOVE BIOLOGY. I just wish to get promoted no hopes of acing or anything. MAY GOD BLESS ME.
