First week of school has past and I have mountains of tutorials undone and readings that have yet to be read. So far I have prepared for my OB seminar which I just saw was on the 21st August, prepared for my econs tutorial which is most likely next week due to the holiday on Monday and just finish my marketing tutorial which I had to discuss the marketing strategy of Starbucks. The modules are actually fun to study just that doing the tutorial takes up a lot of time and the distraction is always there to MSN or Facebook for a while which usually leads to hours. Going back to Hall tonight as there is make up lesson on Monday when everyone is having holiday due to National Day and to chiong my Stats tutorial which is the last one that I have. I need to concentrate more on my studies and try not to fall asleep when I do the readings. Some are very nice to read like the organizational structure of Toyota which is like my favourite company but some are real boring till can die one. Just have to tahan and chiong all the way. GPA is the only thing on my mind now.

Its been a long time since I updated and my days are packed back to back with activities like CAC camp and thereafter hall camp and now I am officially starting my NTU journey. Moved into our rooms on the Sunday we started hall camp and it was a disgusting sight. The previous occupants left a huge pile of rubbish for us to clear up and to make it better for us to live in; we clear out some of the big items and also sweep the floor a bit. After the camp ended, we came back to have a major clean up and also to move in our stuff into the room. So right now, I have very limited access to a computer and this have to thank my sis for loaning her laptop to me for this week at least. THANKS CAMILLE!!! Lessons have started officially today and I had 2 lectures, organizational behavior and marketing, both new to me but it was still manageable. After my lecture, I went to print my mountains of notes and readings at the FAL using edveNTUre which is the e learning thing that we have to use a lot to get our notes and all academic stuff. I tried to add an extra elective but it was not allowed for first semester so have to chiong more next semester since we only got to clear 16 AUs this semester.
CAC camp was 5.5days and the first night we only slept like 4 hours after painting the flag and the next day was touring the campus while playing some station games but the pace was too fast to orientate ourselves properly to the campus grounds. I can’t really remember the exact flow of the camp but we had beach games at sentosa, amazing race which ends at sentosa and brought us to Maxwell to eat the hum chi peng and also our dinner. At sentosa, the whole OG of like 18 people was squeeze into a room and we had to sleep there. Initiation was done with our SP but my SP did not go through it with me and instead I went through it with a senior and well initiation was just a tekan session by the seniors and we had all the crap thrown on us and had to do stupid forfeits but well it was fun and something to remember. SP night was at Paris and this was included in the $45 that we paid so it was damn cheap and worth it and we ended the night by partying at DXO. Finale was a skit put up by the OG and also cross dressing our GLs and the RPG game in the day was fun too where we were like playing a character and solving quests, earning money and running away from monsters and also trying to fight them. Our finale night was super fun with wacky and also very RA cross dressing and the skit was a great laugh too. We ended off with prize presentations and phototaking before we parted.
On Saturday, the mission team met up for a sharing session and also to try cooking some dishes that we had in China during our trip there. It was not too bad and after lunch we began our sharing session. After the session, Sum came over to get the photos and we all went GV Yishun to watch Red Cliff with Jon, Matt and Aunty Elisabeth.
Sunday was start of Hall 15 FOC and I am so happy and proud to be in the most ZAI OG, Azula. Throughout our camp, we made friends and some who are going to be our neighbors living together in the same hall and I am glad to have them as my OG mates and also staying in the same hall. As usual, there was Amazing Race, Campus walk, fright night, SP night, initiation, the highlight where we slept in a tent on a field, had outdoor cooking (SUPER LIKE FIELD CAMP) and we ended off with a bbq and most people stayed over for the night since we all have our rooms. It was my first fright night and it was scary man and I shouted along with my SP all night. Lolz. SP night was at bottle tree park where I always pass by when taking the train but never went there till finally we were there during SP night and we had to do certain forfeits in the public, which generally includes running around, being half naked and playing 7 wonders. After a nice and wonderful dinner, we had our fright night. Sleeping outdoors and cooking outdoors is actually quite fun and new to some of the girls and the guys were busy preparing the food and later the girls clean up the mess tin that we used. The BBQ on finale was super fun just that the pit is pathetically small and the food took very long to cook. We chatted till about 2 before we departed.
ABCC Ambassador briefing on Saturday after Hall camp and I am one of the 2 freshie who were ambassadors this year. It was organized by Business Solutions, a club which sends its students for business case competitions around the world and through this event, it really exposes me the a lot and I not only get to interact with foreign students, but also people from the business industry which would no doubt be a great help for networking. I really looked forward to this man.
After ABCC, I went to Shi Hui’s birthday party where I met my JC classmates whom I have not seen for a super long time. I only had a while to stay there after passing her the present and chatting with some friends, I left to settlers for my CAC OG outing.
I had my dinner at settlers because I was really starving and we played some games there before leaving at 10. It was great to see them again and remembering the fun we had at CAC camp where we all came into NTU without knowing anything. Most people were there except for some who had Hall camp and had to leave early. After some photo taking, we parted.
