On Saturday, I met up with Sam and Jon to go watch the Chingay and at the same time to catch up with each other. When we were outside of the MRT station, there was a huge crowd and being not very tall, we could not see much except for the top part of most of the floats. So we went to food republic to get a drink and talk. We are quite lucky to be able to get a window seat, where we could watch the parade as well as chat with each other. After the parade ended at around 10pm, we went to the street to view the street party. Well the whole street filled with people dancing like a huge club and we just stand and watch. After that we walked to dhoby ghaut station to catch a train home. On the way to the station, there were break dance performances, cosplay characters and much other interesting stuff.
On Sunday, there was CNY visitation and we went to Marcus’s house for lunch and after that to Gilbert’s. After service, there was AGM and I did not attend or rather was not required to. Justin suggested going to his house and we went there to wait till its time to go for our first stop which was Marcus’s house. We had a lunch of pizza and pasta and the food was simply great and delicious. At 3pm, we went to Gilbert’s house. When I got home, I got a call from SO asking for a favor to cover Syahid’s duty as he had something on. So I agreed and went to camp at 9 pm to do his duty. For this, I got one weekend duty less in March.
Sam’s commissioning parade is on 10 March and so heng I got duty on that day, but today it was cancelled due to me covering for Syahid. So Sam, I can attend it liao. Dun worry, I will rob, steal, beg, borrow and kill to ensure I am free of duty on that day.

Went back to camp today since the CNY break and well it was quite slack. I started duty at 0730 and end at 1200 before having lunch. At 1300, Yazid, Raimie and I went to see SO as he wanted to see me but yet when I went to his office, he forgot what he wanted to tell me. Oh and Yazid and I wanted to ask SO about the March duty forecast as both of us had like 3 weekends while others got around 1 or 2 and Derek has none at all. I was like WTH and plus the fact that on 10 Mar, I was on duty and Sam is commissioning on that day too. After dinner, I went to causeway point to get my zippo lighter fluid and a zippo lighter for dad. It seems that he quite like it after I showed him mine which was given to me by sam. After that, I went to Liang Ying’s grandma’s wake. I stayed there for a while, chatted with him, played cards and fold some paper. After that at around 2150, I left and went to meet up with mum and I came home.
I am on leave tomorrow or rather today and I have nowhere to go. SOMEBODY ASK ME OUT. LOLZ

On the 2nd day of CNY, I went to Mrs Lim’s house with my class and 6B people. It’s a one of the year event that almost the whole class gathered at Mrs Lim’s house to catch up with each other, have fun and see the changes that occur to each other. Well, some people do have a lot of changes, most looked better and all of us have certainly grown more mature. At Mrs Lim’s house, we chat for a while then proceeded to play some games and the punishment was to eat a variety of food placed on a plate. After some photo taking, we left Mrs Lim’s house. After we left, some of us went to Mac to have a drink and also to catch up more with each other. At around 7, I left for Aunt Betty’s house. After dinner, we left for home.
Today I went to watch the movie just follow law with Sam and boy it was a great movie and very funny one too. This movie really shows the environment of the civil service and the spoof of it is great too. The one take away point is to always cover your own ass when in the working world and try to avoid all troubles and play safe. But then again if one always follow the rules and play safe, it stifles creativity and it’s hard to think out of the box and implement improvements to systems. So at the end of the day, break the rules at the right time and create the maximum impact or prepare to bear the consequences or better still cover your ass and save yourselves. Lolz

Happy Chinese New Year to all my friends and family and may all of you have a happy and
prosperous year ahead. May the lord bless each of you with good health and success in whatever you do. As usual our family went to Aunt Betty's house for the reunion dinner. After the
sumptuous steamboat dinner, we played black jack and i won $6. At around 1am, we went back. This morning, i went to church for SF service and got a birthday gift from sam which is a zippo lighter and i love it a lot. Sam also got many of us a handphone strap with our names in english and thai on it. After the service, we all quickly disbanded to go visit each of our relatives for the chinese new year. I went to Uncle Mike's house to have lunch and collect red packets. We played black jack at Uncle Mike's house and in total, my net loss for today was $14. I was really unlucky so much so that Uncle Mike could draw a 3 with a 18 points hand and win me. I was like WTH. After that it was just slacking around the house till we got home at around 10 plus.

Hooray, we got one day off on Friday for CNY. Basically today the whole camp was rather empty due to the day off and I was smart enough to not clear today. Today’s duty was super slack with the occasional car coming in and all our superiors are not in camp today. From today till Wednesday, I am having break from camp and work for the CNY and I am really going to enjoy this whole break and relax from work. On Thursday, we had cohesion again at CCO with commandant giving us a speech and we had a buffet and after which we each got a goody bag with 2 oranges, one ribena, one packet of nuts and a red packet with 2 chocolate coins in them. Chinese New Year is here again and its time for decorations to be put up, snacks to be bought, new clothes to be worn and red packets to be collected. The thing I enjoy most is the snacking and my favourite is the bak kwa and I am always the greatest consumer in my house. So I think this year would be as usual, with reunion dinner at Aunt Betty’s house, first day visit at Uncle Michael’s house, day 2 at Aunt Betty’s house and Mrs Lim’s house and the rest of the days would most probably be at home. So to all my great friends who are reading this, you can invite me to your house. Lolz, anytime also can. Haha.
Just realized that Gracia’s birthday is yesterday and I only know it through friendster. So to Gracia, who I know will read this sooner or later, happy birthday to you and may you have a great 17th year and may you also do well in your next level of education.
Lastly to all my friends, wish that all of you have a prosperous and great Chinese new year and may all stay healthy always and have a great collection of red packets this year.

Ok today I realized that I am really an idiot. Whenever I close my cupboard, I would always have to force one side of the door to hook it. It seems as if there is something causing obstruction to it but I can never seem to find that thing. Finally today when I was closing it, it had no more obstruction. So I look around and realized that the key to my drawer is bent. So at last, after 3 months and 14 days, I finally realized that the obstruction to the cupboard door is the key. Ok now is the time to laugh at me. Even I think that I am an idiot myself. Thinking back on this issue, I do realize that I am really an idiot in life. Many a times, I have overlooked small matters and just continue life blindly thereby missing a lot of stuff. Maybe I should really take a step back and look at things more carefully.
Today is valentine day and as usual for the 20th year, I have to spend it alone without a girlfriend. Ok I am not complaining but then again many people seem to assume that I am either lying or that I am gay when I told them that I never had a girlfriend before. But then again to all people who do not believe, I am really single all my life. Haha, actually being single is no big deal, at least there is more freedom and you can spend more time doing things you can enjoy as a single. Ok sounds like I am consoling myself but actually if the time comes, I dun mind having a girlfriend too. Just have to wait for the right time to come I guess. lolz

Today was HQ ARMCEG's anniversary and we had duty till 12 pm and then we proceed to Nee Soon camp in a minibus to attend some exhibits at the spec mess. When we arrived at the mess, the event was almost over so we just ate, drank and play pool. At around 2pm, we went to vivo for lunch before proceeding to Tiger Live at St James Power Station. Tiger Live was about the history of Tiger Beer, the awards it won and the unique brewing methods that it used. Lastly, we got a free glass of beer chilled at -2 degree Celsius. The taste was real good and very different from drinking at home. Well seriously, you got to try it to know the taste. After the tiger live, we went to the bar beside for our dinner and drinks. I had 2 volka lime and 2 volka cranberry. After the drinks, I was quite high. Later we went to the roof of vivo to take pictures. Sham was like drunk, and he could not walk, properly, talk nonsense all the time and try to pick up every single girl and almost jump into the pool. I wanted to follow them to St James for clubbing since it is free and later we could just go back camp to sleep for my duty tomorrow. But seeing Sham’s state, I think I would have to start doing the first 12 hours so better go back and get some sleep. Today was fun but could be better if I was not on duty tomorrow.

Today was a super unlucky day for me, in the morning, there was an inspection team from 2 PDF and they managed to smoke me with a lost seletar camp pass. Ok it is my fault for not checking properly and wrongly assuming that everyone who holds on to a pass is the actual owner of the pass. Then I went to have breakfast and I got choke on my ikan bilis. It was very painful and uncomfortable and I went to the toilet to try force it out, and I ended up spitting out lots of blood. After that, I went to SMC to see the MO to check if there is still any bone sticking around but luckily there was none. I got some medication and a mouth wash and was told to go back for an x ray if the pain persists. After taking the medication, the pain seem to get better so I think that there is no more bone left lying around and what is left now if for the abrasions to heal.

I am super pissed off today. I quarreled with someone over something that I had done right and to show people that rules are there to be followed and not to be taken lightly. So the story is during one briefing by my SO, he mentioned about the late taking over of duties and it is not right and the grace period he gave and allowed was 5 minutes. On Monday, the usual guy who always fails to wake up on time was late and took over from me 15 minutes after the stated time, and mind you this is not the first time. Well, I decided that someone got to do something before it is taken as the norm, so I inform my SO about the matter and in the end he sign extra for it. This morning, he confronted me in the pass office and asked what do I want for doing this to him and I told him that well you got to pay the consequences for being late and reminded him that this was not his first time and the worse he has done is take over me late by 30 minutes, not to mention the occasion smoking during duties, having a camera mobile phone, leaving camp when he is not supposed to and having duty unpaid cigarettes. I choose to ignore talking to him and swoop to his childishness and he was also speechless when I asked him when was I ever late. We are regimental police and the ones who are supposed to uphold discipline in camp how can we tell people to keep to rules when we ourselves break them and do not even have the self discipline. Well in this case, punishment is needed for some people to open their eyes and stop taking things for granted. Anyway I am not so bothered by this issue now since it is over and I believe in doing the right things anyway.
Today we had a fire awareness workshop by Master Goh and we learn about the different fire extinguishers, watch a program by the scdf and had hands on experience in using the fire extinguishers. It was fun and at the end, the whole place was smoky cause of the dry powder.
Lately, I have been troubled by some stuff and having been thinking real hard about it and well I think I am close to sorting stuff out. I have been indecisive many times in my life which left me in regret and this time, I shall not have any regrets anymore.

On Saturday I went to SSDC with Liang Ying to book the basic theory test. The earliest that I can get is on the 3rd of April at 0915 pm. I am not sure if I am on course but the lady told me that I could just get a date first and change it if I cannot make it. Well it seems that Liang Ying has a platoon mate whose dad is a driving instructor and that settles my problem of getting a private instructor. After booking our test dates, we went to Dhoby Ghaut to meet Shu Wen. As we were early, so we walked around PS and look for things to do and place to eat. In the end we went to Zone X at the MRT to play game and wait for her. After meeting her, we went to meridian hotel to play pool but it was full up so we headed to Paradise centre to play instead. I won like 3 or 4 games in a row and soon both of them were teaming up against me. My winning streak was in the end broken by Shu Wen’s left hand shot and Liang Ying's shot of the black ball. After pool, we headed to Funan to have sakae for dinner. We searched around for a long time and could not find Sakae and in the end managed to find it but there was no buffet dinner on weekends. So we ended up ordering from the menu. After dinner, we went to esplanade to just chill out and chat and catch up with each other while Liang Ying was immersed in his PSP but he still managed to catch what the conversation was. In the end I traded my psp with him for a week so that he could play DJ max. At around 11 I think, we went home. I got some homemade cookies from Shu Wen as my birthday present and Liang Ying treated me to dinner. Anyway thanks guys for going out with me and the presents.

Today is my off day for my birthday and I really just used it to slack and enjoy a day without having to stand at the gate and doing monotonous job. I woke up at around 0930 and went to vacuum the floor. Later I made my self some tea with milk or rather I was experimenting and ate a curry puff for breakfast. When I am done, I went to use the computer and watch all the anime that I have been missing out taking only a lunch break. When I got tired I clear my computer of unwanted stuff by burning them into Dvds and deleting unwanted stuff. So far, I am at Naruto episode 218, death note 14 and gundam seed 4. Still got loads more stuff to watch from youtube like bleach. At around 1840, I went to J8 to meet Terrence, Gracia and Sam for dinner. We ate at Thai Express and it was good. After walking around a bit, we went back. Tomorrow I have duty with Yazid and it is my first for febuary and on Saturday I am going out with Liang Ying and Shu Wen. Today I got a lollipop and a birthday card from Gracia and Sam. Thanks guys.
