Dinner on Friday night with Tut 27 was cool. We went to Miss Clarity Café for dinner where I tried for the first time in my life, Escargot and Foie gras. Well the Escargot was super good and I think I ate around 4 of them and the sauce in the shell was siok too. However I don’t really enjoy the Foie Gras as it had the very fishy taste which nearly make me want to puke but luckily after gulping down lots of water and having a potato wedges, it helped a bit. We ordered many other food like the garlic crusted dory, old mac Donald had a farm, which is like a mixed grill and soft shell crab spaghetti. The food there is great and there is no service charge. Although we ate quite a bit, but I came to only about 17 per person. For those who have not been to Miss Clarity, I strongly recommend it. After the dinner, we went down Bugis to have some traditional dessert. We had mango sago with pomelo and vanilla ice cream and it was delicious. The almond paste was very smooth and nice too. It was all recommended by Joy who is really a foodie to introduce all this great food to us. I myself had grass jelly with strawberry and the strawberries were super fresh, crunchy and sweet. It was really a super sinful night of super good food and dessert.
Been in Hall over the weekends to study for my stats and well it was quite productive and I managed to finish all 4 tutorials required for the quiz and next up is Economics, my favorite. Hope I do well for these 2 quizzes.

Finally relief for our OB cause we have all our results back. For this semester, we have Article Arena on Toyota, our project report and also the presentation. For individual, we have our case analysis to do which took me like 2 full days at NLB@Bugis to do my research and around 2 more days to put everything together and also to cut the amount of words. The presentations also took us time and effort and it was an overall very well done. For our Article Arena and report, we got A+ and presentation we got A which is due to the fact that we put common values and goals together but it was still good and everyone worked real hard for the grades. For my individual report, I am very happy to get an A for all the work that I put in. Hope that the rest will be fine too.
Attended Danny’s birthday BBQ last night and it was my first time barbequing in the rain and it was quite fun man. Thank God that all went well despite the rain and the food was good too. It was different from other bbqs where there were chicken wings and the usual stuff. But his had huge sausages that were delicious and not to mention the beef and chicken chops which were good too. It was nice to catch up with them again after not seeing them for a long time. Great party Dan.

The welfare supper yesterday was a huge success with a huge turnout and everything was gone is like 20 min. First of all, really have to thank our sponsors, Angelic Catering for providing us with the wonderful meal. The food was delicious as gathered from the residents and the goodie bag items was well received too. Overall I would say it was well done and I have to really thank all my subcomm members who worked hard for this event, our first and one of the many. Next welfare supper must be better and I hoped that it will be better. Really have to Thank God for it was really stressing me and till the end and I was really glad when we managed to get it.

Exams are coming..........................

Time flies and a week has past which marks the end of the Asian Business Case Competition 2008. In this week, I’ve made many new friends, had great experience and also lots of fun. The winner was from USC, but this competition is more than winning, it’s an experience, a chance to meet new people and make new friends and also a gateway into a whole new experience. We ended off the night with the gala dinner at Asian Civilization Museum where we had a nice meal at a great place, wine to drink while interacting with the other students and also lots of great fun taking photos enjoying the night. Part 2 was at Dbl O where it was a great night partying and de-stressing with all the other students to let out hair down after the competition and also for us to enjoy before we start the battle for our examinations.
During case preparation I was pretty slack as my team did not call me at all for anything and I managed to tag along the faculty program with the other advisors. We went to Little India, Esaplanade, lunch was at the Singapore Cricket Club for the ambassadors, Singapore Flyer and finally ended off with a dinner at M hotel where we had the hotpot buffet.
Little India was real hot in the afternoon and we toured around, looking at the traditional crafts and trying out the food which the Profs all enjoyed. After touring, we went to Esplanade where it was free and easy while Prof Tan bought all the NTU students to the cricket club for lunch. It was a posh place for members only and we had the set lunch with beer and had a great conversation with him.
After lunch was the Singapore Flyer and being first time for many of us, we were more excited than the Profs and started taking lots of photos. Well for those who have not tried it yet, it was only fun for the first 5-7 min and after that it was boring and you can see lots of construction going on. We had dinner at M hotel where we had the hotpot buffet and it was great, especially the drunken prawns which were very sweet and springy. The faculty advisors were fascinated with the hot pot and were making plans on coming back next year to eat it which in my opinion is a great thing.
Well when I sign up for this, I did not really know what it was and all but it was really a great experience and I never regret and really have to sincerely thank yee ling for introducing me this great opportunity where I made lots of friends and had lots of interesting experience.

The case has just been released and I have some free time till dinner. Well the team arrived on Sunday 0125 and apparently there was a screw up in the printing of the ticket but it was ok. I met up with them at NEC and they were a nice bunch of people to be with just a little too independent. The team went to Sentosa in the morning along with the team from New Zealand and Florida. They went to the underwater world as well as the dolphin lagoon where they enjoyed the performance. I met up with the team after the dolphin performance and we went to play ball at the beach. After playing, we went to Night Safari for dinner at Bongo Burgers and caught the fire performance at 7 where we had a super good view. After dinner, I planned the itinerary for the group and everyone seem to be ok with it but no one actually followed me and I lost my group as they went off without informing me but luckily I saw them at the creatures of the night show and after the show, we went on the tram ride before heading back to school. It was my first time at Night Safari and I enjoyed it especially seeing all the animals, some of which are new to me.

My team from UWO did not want to go for the experience Singapore trip and they went off by themselves to ‘experience Singapore’ themselves without me and I was so worried when Ya Wen told me about it and I was like huh what is happening man and I do not have any of their contacts. I met them at Timbre at 7 and for the whole day I was pretty much slacking and helping Ya Wen if she needs my help. I went out to JP to help Alexandra get some medication and also fruits as he was unwell and at the same time I got a cake for Matt who missed his birthday as they had a plane to catch to Singapore. Well everything that can go wrong went wrong that day and when it was time to serve the cake, the staff could not find it and when they found it, it was melted and destroyed. I was like super pissed and thinking, WTH man. It turn out better at the end as they replaced the cake and give Matt a complementary drink of Timbre tower which had a very visual flaming effect and it was blown out in the end like a candle. Btw the reason was that the staff did not put the cake in the refrigerator. This is my first time encountering such shit and I was like super WTH.

Other than all the mishaps, the night at Timbre was great fun with good food and drinks (paid ourselves). It was also a great time mingling with the other teams and getting to know more people.

Roundtable lunch today was the most formal meal that I have been too and my topic was on green accounting standards. I thought I am going to be lost at the table but turns out its not really accounting accounting. We touched on accounting in general and discuss about carbon credits trading and how it is done in the industry. It was a fruitful discussion and James really had lots of knowledge about it and he presented out ideas.

Its slack time for me till dinner and I think I’ll take a nap.

Why am I awake at this time even though I have ORDed and do not have to wake up at 5am anymore. The thing is I just came back an hour ago from the airport. I was supposed to pick up the team from Richard Ivey School of Business and I did not manage to get them. I was at the gate like before everyone came out and was very sure that there is no team of 5 people walking from the gate and I happen to see photos of Natalie and Prof Colette and there is no way I could miss them and its a frenzy calling Roy and Shu Wen to double check and comfirm and asked for advice. In the end, I took the maxi cab back myself as it would cost $40 to cancel it and I really wonder what happen. It was given to me 11 Oct 0125. What went wrong?

Thank You Shu Wen for helping me out again. :D

The worst thing that can ever happen to me is when my alarm clock does not ring and I have an 0830 class with presentation for my assessed project. When I open my eyes, I was like why is it so bright outside and I got a shock of my life when I saw the alarm clock showing 0853. I was like WTH and rushed like crazy to brush my teeth and change. I was super nervous as this was my presentation day and it is very important for me. Thank God I had really great and wonderful friends, Liang Ying who calm me down and help me call Shu Wen to drive me to class and Shu Wen who rushed down upon hearing my situation and drove me to school. I made it in time and the time in the car cooled me down and I still did well for it and did not screw up.

I am really glad to have them man if not I really cannot imagine, to walk there or to take the bus that takes forever to come.

This entry is specially dedicated to my wonderful friends, Liang Ying and Shu Wen.

This is a real hectic week for me with presentations on Mon and Thur and also the stats quiz which just pass and it really suxxxxxxxx to the core for me. I really studied very hard for it and prepare questions for it but in the end I still got a real crap result. It is not even worth mentioning and I am really sad and also at the same time angry with myself. I really hate myself sometimes that I can get so freak out and stress that I can get mental block during exams and it happens all the time. Not that I am blaming it on anything and at the end of the day it is still myh fault. It is over anyway and I shall not brood over it but work hard towards the other quiz and make up for my incompetence.

Marketing presentation was great in my opinion and everyone did their best and I am really glad that I have such a wonderful bunch of people to work with. GREAT JOB GUYS. Right now I am in Phebe's room doing our marketing project which is due for presentation on monday and we are going to redo and chiong everything by tonight to next morning. Hope we can have something better this time.

The welfare supper is stressing me and I don't have anything at the moment and I am so screwed, presentation and OB coming too and after which ABCC and exams coming after that. I have a super hectic and busy life.
