A Super Belated Birthday PostThis is a long overdue post that I wanted to put up since my birthday but really could not find the time with all my rehearsals, school work and JCRC commitments. Another year has gone past and I am 22 now. It only seems like yesterday when I celebrated my 21st birthday with all of my friends around me. This year it was 3 simple celebrations.
First of all, thanks to Shaun who organized an outing for all the temps of RE. We had dinner at New York New York at Jurong Point 2. It was nice getting together again and remembering all the wonderful times that we had together when we were still working there and also the various outings that we have together. Ironically though we are in the same school now and living in hostel but due to the busy schedule of life, we do not have time to meet up and this was a good opportunity to catch up with each other and have some time together over dinner. Kudos to Ian who came down all the way from NUS to celebrate my birthday for me.
My Hall mates celebrated for me on Thursday. I knew something was going to happen as they are very loud about it but I was actually quite sick of waiting and wanted to go to bed but when I was out of the toilet from removing my contact lens, I got trapped and tried to run but could not. So I was blindfolded and threatened to comply or else risk getting my bed dirtied. I was lead to a lamppost where I was tied up with disgusting stuff poured over me and being pelted by water bombs. When they tried to put a lizard on me, I managed to escape and run away but later got smash in the face by a fake cake of wasabi prepared by my very own dear roommate, it was super hot and chocking to my nose. The worst part was when they clipped pegs to my ear and chest and Xin Hui pulled it away and it was super pain man. Overall it was super fun getting each other dirty and the celebration ended with cake cutting in the lounge but too bad some ass complain and Liang Ying’s name got taken down. A big thank you to the CPs, Liang Ying, Xin Hui and Willy.
On Saturday, I had a celebration at home with my tutorial group mates plus my Random Group from Hall, a group which got together randomly and from random places and hopefully maintained for a random number of years together as a random group. This is our official random outing 2 after 1 which was a huge success. But then again I think we seriously need a better name and not random group. I met Han Ming, Sok Peng, Song, Miao, Joanne and little Junior at the MRT and thank Han Ming for telling me to order the sushi early cause I realized that I need to order at least an hour in advance or else there will be no sushi for dinner. After which we played mahjong while Sok Peng, Han Ming, Junior and I played tai tee for a while till Junior got bored and wanted to see them play mahjong instead. At around 6:30, we had dinner of pizza and sushi and Phebe, Ko Yang, Hong Wee, Germane, Kim Heng and Shi Yuan came at various times. We had lo he and after which was cake cutting and I was made to eat a strawberry which had like soy sauce, chilli and mayo on it. Song tried to smash my head into the cake but too bad, I anticipated it and he failed.
We played black jack after that and I was banker and lost about 7. I was just too unlucky with poor hands but luckily last round managed to win back some with a 21 which was a killer. After taking photos, they left at around 9:30.
Really want to say a big thank you to all my friends who organized everything for my birthday and also the well wishes and the red packets and book (Winning with People) from tut 27, the cuff links from Liang Ying, Sok Peng, Evadne, Han Ming, Li Xuan, Sharon, Yi Ting, Shu Wen and Jing Wen, the card from Shaun, Glenn, Nathan, Xian Rong, Venetia, Evon, Vivian and Ian, the BIG ang pao from my Shi Mu, Xiao Shi Mei, Alicia, Ariel, Shirley, Gina and the laser pointer from Elaine.
Well as usual, it is time for Birthday wishes……
1) I wish that I will have more friends each year when I celebrate my birthday
2) I wish for better results in my coming Sem
3) I wish that my knee would get better so that I can run long distance again.
4) I wish that I can discover my real passion.
5) I wish for a good internship again. Lolz
