Yesterday I met my OC and CO and they explain to me that they could not keep me in 42SAR as my medical condition does not allow me to go for the next recee course which is around dec and other vocations like clerk and storeman are filled up and even overflowing. So its time after 6 months of being in 42 SAR that i am being posted out to CCO seletar camp as a RP trainee. Sometimes some things in life are not meant to be. I was initially in spike platoon when i first arrived at 42 but later PS Peter came and took me over to scout platoon. I went for the driver course first as i was quite afraid of riding a bike which a trooper have to learn. When we are nearing the end of the driver training, I volunteered at the chance to become a trooper and joined the rest at the bike course. This decision changed my life totally as I was OOC in july due to a bike accident. As a result, i was not able to train as a recee trooper and thus had to go. Scout platoon will always be a part in my memory as i had many great platoon mates and commanders there. The commanders are all really very encouraging and never fail to encourage me when i am unable to carry on especially during running where i am the worse. As a result, i am very motivated to train hard and to do my commanders proud. At there i also made friends and i pray that we will continue to be friends even though i left 42. I will always remember 42 SAR The Cutting Edge and Steadfast and vigilant serval.

I am recovering from my Saturday sentry duty. When I woke up, I was super tired and felt that the sleep was not useful at all. On Saturday, there combat team life firing which involve tanks and Bionix and dunno what else. Anyway my job is to be sentry at the rear gate of our camp and to prevent unauthorized vehicles to enter the firing area. We woke up at 4am and then theres 4 of us to rotate for 2 hour shift. The worse part of it all was to eat combat ration for 3 meals that day. Although during field camp, we ate it for like 5 days but still I am sick of it now for just eating it one day. Luckily I bought one bowl of instant noodles and I had that for lunch but we did not expect it to last till about 10 plus and I left out dinner so no choice but to eat the ever disgusting combat ration. On Monday, there is the same duty to be done but luckily I managed to escape it due to my clearance to be done. Oh ya I have been posted to seletar camp as a RP. Not really sure what is my whole job but well just take things as it comes. I had to drag my duffel bag with lots of item on sat night. As there was no one to share cab with, I took a lift from QiYuan’s dad car to boon lay mrt and took a train home. Jack was very kind and help me with my stuff and follow me to boon lay. Pity that I am leaving 42 and could not take a lift from him any longer.

Went to watch The Prestige with lly and at the same time lent him my chemistry TYS. But we ended up losing the book in the arcade when we were playing game. This is the second time we lost stuff together. First time was his birthday present that I got for him. Must remember to be careful next time. The Prestige was a nice show about battling magicians and how far one would go to win and the hurt that it caused to others. Well its nice and the magics are cool so if time is available, go catch the movie.

Oh man I am feeling very tired. Had a great weekend but it was quite draining. Let’s see, on Friday night, I went Zouk with Sam, Danny, LLY and his 2 friends. It was a great night of dancing and I got a bit high after drinking the Lamborghini and graveyard. We danced till about 4am and then met outside to go home. But we could not find Sam and started to call him and sms him. Turns out that he fell asleep outside the hotel beside Zouk. No wonder I could not find him after searching Zouk. But I searched the hotel too but still could not find him. Zouk was very crowded but almost all guys sianz lor. I slept at around 5 and woke up at 10 as I am meeting Sam, Dan, Jon and Justin at ViVo City to watch the departed and have a meal together. But Dan overslept and Justin was late and we ended up not watching the movie and just walking around and have lunch at Carl’s junior. It was good and the portion was huge too. After lunch, we went to orchard road to walk around. Jon sent us there in his car and we hor lan and dunno end up where. But in the end still manage to reach orchard and Jon drop us off at Paragon while he went home for dinner with his mum. We shopped around in orchard and I went home at around 7. What a tiring but fun and great weekend.

World Trade Centre

Went to watch World Trade Centre with Liang Ying. The show is about the true story of the heroic survival and rescue of two Port Authority policemen – John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno – who were trapped in the rubble of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, after they went in to help people escape. The film also follows their families as they try to find out what happened to them, as well as the rescuers who found them in the debris field and pulled them out. Only 20 people were rescued alive from the World Trade Center after the collapse of the buildings abd Officer Jimeno (Michael Peña) and Sgt. McLoughlin (Nicolas Cage) were the 18th and 19th. In my opinion its a great show and i would recommend it to anyone who has the time. Its not a fantastic cinematic experience but it is very true about how human react to adversity and especially how will your families react should they know that you are in danger. It's also interesting to note what goes through people's mind and the stuff they think of when they are so close to death. The show has a happy ending when the 2 officers trapped recover from their injuries and are back with their families. But in the laughter, there are also thousands who have died in this act of terrorism. Can you imagine how would you react when you are only like that close to death. What would go through your mind and who will you turn to for help and comfort. For me, the closest I've been to death is during my bike accident. Honestly during the moment when I got thrown off, my mind was a total blank and I was unsure of what would exactly happen to me. Even if I could come to a stop, there is still a chance that I might get hit by some thing. It was until I was lying on the ground and waiting for the paramedics that I thank GOD for keeping me alive.

Today I had my first BS session with Yao Wen. Its my first BS session as a BS leader and well I am quite excited and with the help of GOD, the session was quite ok. Since its the first session, I used it to get to know Yao Wen better and at the same time share some pointers with him on how to read and understand the bible during his quiet time. For next week onwards, we are going to do the green book on assurances. I pray that GOD will continue to guide me with the wisdon and knowledge to teach and guide Yao Wen as he grows in the Lord. At the same time also for Yao Wen to be teachable to willing to learn about GOD and at the same time remove any barriers and obstacles that he may have. After BS with Yao Wen, we went for the message on Romans 12:1-2. After the message was my BS on OT with Jacob and we celebrated Danny's birthday with a cake. I took some pictures (view them below). After that we went for lunch and after lunch Gab, Jon, Zhi Zhen and I went back to church to record the suicide song and I just hang around cause I am very free. Lolz.

Went for a late lunch with mum today. On the way, i helped the old chang kee aunties buy 4D and wow the total cost was $108. Thats a lot of money spent on buying a hope. But as long as theres hope, something will happen some day. Haha. After the meal, I went walking to look for a bag to contain my clothes to camp as I could not carry a bag pack due to pain in my shoulder. I saw this Addidas one which was quite nice but it cost like $49. Hmm wonder if I should buy it. Think I shall ask Camille and see how. After that on the way to the MRT station, i drop by the bazaar to buy a cover for my handphone and I repaired the faulty ringer too. It cost me $20 for the repairs and the cover. Its quite worth it considering that I am going to use it for quite some time.

Justed booked out on 051006 at 2200. In the morning, SM told us to expect a late book out cause we have to wash the road and the others involved in Ex BoldZapper have to wash their vehicle. In the morning, I did a weekly BOS since we will be on off on friday. After the BOS, we went to clean the parade square for a while. After that it was basically resting and sleeping all the way till after dinner when the vehicles came back from the Ex. When the vehicles are parked, we fall in armed with brooms and buckets to wash the road which is muddy and sandy. At 2200, we left camp for our off till tue.
