Today is my birthday. I am 18 this year, that means i can watch M18 movies and take 'calculated' risk like buyinh Toto and 4-D. Haha. The first to wish me a happy birthday is Sharon Ong from AI, glad that she still can remember me. Next was Jerry then Samanta then Yun Qi. During Biology lecture, Yit Hann wish me when i was walking out and many people when realise that it was my birthday, started wishing me too. I receive a book from my class, it was called The Five People you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom. It was a nice book and i love it. On the way home, i nearly got poled, but i manage to escape. On the bus ride, i got 3 sms from Yi Xiu, Kat and Dot. At around 5pm, i went out with Mummy and Camille to buy clothes for Chinese New Year. I bought 2 polo tee, a shirt and a pair of Jeans. It cost me a total of $130.
My Birthday wish for this year is to get 4As for A levels with a S paper distinction and hopefully make more new friends.
The Phantom Of The Opera

Yesterday I went to watch The Phantom Of The Opera with Jon Foo at Lido. It was my first time at Lido and I would never want to watch there again. The cinema is pathetic, the cushion was torn and the sound effect wasn't very good. The movie is great though. A touching love story and I really admire the Phantom. He sacrificed his love instead of killing his rival. Love is not possession, only wish is that you are happy. That must be what went through the Phantom's mind at that instant. The music was heavenly and I wish I had the soundtrack. I would hear it everyday.
A New Beginning

Time really flies. 2 weeks have past since the New Year. Although it’s only a mere 2 weeks, many things have happen. In the first week, I got the experience of being an orientation group leader (OGL). During the course of being an OGL, I made many friends and I get to interact with the year ones and guide them along the whole orientation. I am a games conductor too and from the training, I learn many useful skills on instruction giving and getting people’s attention. The disco night was the greatest event of the whole orientation. Everyone literally just went wild and dance the night away. During the orientation, I fell sick and lost my voice. But I have no regrets.
After the orientation, I went back to class and found mountains of work waiting for me. I was nearly engulfed by it. But after 3 days, I manage to finish up all my work. I am now very separated from my class. As expected. But who cares, I value quality and not quantity. Having a few good friends is better than having a bunch of mediocre people. I realize that I can now concentrate better on my work. I manage to finish my entire tutorial before the new topics are taught.
I decided not to drop Mathematics ‘S’ paper after all. After attending the first lesson, I was captivated by the questions. Its really sets you thinking. Other than taking for interest, it also trains your mind.
Year 2005 began quite well for me. I learn a lot from being an OGL and I made many friends. I will work hard and achieve excellence for my studies.
