Career Seminar 2005 and class outing

Today we, had a career seminar for all jc 2 in the school. For a treat, we were allowed to dress up for the seminar. The first talk was by a man who was a student of Nanyang many many years ago. He gave an inside on the current job market and how to cash in on opportunities to get rich. Although it was rather boring, it was informative and really open my eyes to the fact that as many as 100 000 Singaporeans are out of job today. But the time i am ready for the world, i wonder how the market is going to be?
After which was a short break where we took some photos and i went to sign up for a job attachment for the december holidays. Today was the day where many of my friends look so nice and presentable after dressing up. I saw Shao Ru, but was rather surprised that she did not dress up. I ask her why when i saw her online and her reply was that she did not want too many guys to faint. Haha.
I went to the talk on business and finance in the hall. I heard the first speaker's presentation for the second time and was rather bored with it. However the second speaker was super. He was able to capture my attention and i was captivated by him. Haha. Although it was all a presentation on their life stories, i was able to gain some valuable knowledge from it. In the business world, we have to look out for opportunities and take calculated risk and cash in on them to make it big.
After the different career talks, it was time for a talk on personal grooming. It was the most informative talk for the whole day. I was able to learn how to dress well to impress others. Unfortunately, i was invited on stage to point out the fact that bright ties don't go well with the dark blue shirt and black pants i am wearing. When the talk end, many of my friends came up to me and say wa Norman, your tie is very glaring. I am blinded sort of things. Haha, real jokers. However some friends say that i look good with my bright silver tie.
14 people is surposed to go for star wars at Cineleisure today. Some went home first as the movie was at 4:25pm. Eunice, Shi Hui, David, Jay, Lucas and me were surposed to go for lunch at Cafe Cartel. However due to my insensitivity again, i made Shi Hui angry but saying that her shirt is bursting. She walk off angrily and Eunice went to look for her. The guys went to orchard first and we went to Mac at Whisma to rest. After a while, Lucas complained of being too hungry and we went to KFC to eat. After which, Eunice called Jay and David went to Orchard MRT to pick her. She was dammed pissed with Jay for making her wait for nothing and she was uncontable. Another girl pissed. It never rains but pours. Troubles come one after. David was so stressed up that he went to take a breather. Its all my fault for starting the whole shit. If i had not teased Shi Hui, we would have been together and nothing would have happen. Luckily, Eunice was later not too angry and everything went on fine.
After we finished the meal, we went to Cine Leisure to meet up with Eleanor, Shi Hui and Vik and the rest before the movie starts. Shi Hui appeared to be normal, however when Jay and I appologised to her, she ignored us. Can't say anything, i was really too much this time for saying such hurtful things about her. I really meant no harm, but i should really learn to be more sensitive to feelings of others and keep my mouth shut.
SHI HUI, I AM REALLY REALLY REALLY SORRY FOR ALL I HAVE SAID TO YOU. I AM JUST TOO INSENSITIVE TO YOUR FEELINGS AND SHOULD REALLY JUST LEARN TO KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT. REALLY SORRY
When all had arrived, we went to watch the movie. A pity that we missed the first part of the show. The fighting scene was nice but plot was a little disappointing. I think episode 2 is still the best.
Today is really a bad day for me, but its all due to my big mouth. Haiz, Norman Norman, what will it take for you to learn how to be sensitive and learn to shut your mouth. I pray that GOD will help me in becoming more sensitive to feelings of others and be a better person.
