Hmm, 2006 is almost here. Its been a eventful year for me in 2005. The greatest thing being accepting Christ as my savior and Lord. In this year, i have also been through the A level examination and made many friends. I have also been through a very hard time of my life and survived it growing stronger from it. I think i have a blessed life, with GOD guiding me and a great teacher, Mrs Lim giving me advice and talking to me. ( Must have wasted a lot of her time. LOL). Here i am going to set a few resolutions for the New Year.
In no particular order, as i just type whats on my mind1. Be more sensitive
2. Make more friends
3. Save more money
4. Read the bible more often
5. Work hard at being a soldier
Thank You Mrs Lim

Received Mrs. Lim’s card today when I opened the letter box on my day to get some groceries. I am glad to know that its her first card and that she really cared for me. I am nothing but a withered plant but Mrs. Lim’s love and concern for me is like fertilizer that revived this withered plant and enabled it to live on and realize the beautiful things in this world. I am touched by her concern and really have learnt a lot from her. Most importantly I must thank her for the gift of a book: ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’. It’s a book that I would say change my perspective towards life. Coupled with Mrs. Lim’s constant guidance, my life has indeed changed for the better. If I am successful one fine day, the person to thank would surely be Mrs. Ivay Lim.

Chronicles Of Narnia

♥ 4:38 PM
Went to watch Chronicles of Narnia today at Shaw. The ticket cost only $5 as it was a event organized by the Singapore Youth For Christ. The movie was good with a wonderful storyline but I was very much annoyed by the lousy sound system. At certain parts of the movie, the sound would suddenly become very soft and crackled. So irritating, and the purpose of going to a cinema is supposed to be for the great sound effect in the engineered room. But that aside, the show is real good but the plot is rather predictable with the lion rising from the dead and good triumph over evil. However it portrays the act of Jesus very well about his sacrifice for the sin of man. Furthermore many would be angered by the lion dying for the sake of a traitor who was Edmund, a boy who is as irritating and ‘qian bian’ as you can imagine. He does not listen to advice and betrays his siblings. The is the love of GOD. God loves us no matter who we are or what we have done. Just like the lion sacrificing for the ‘toot’ Edmund. The best scene was the battle. It was magnificent with the different magical creatures battling each other. The funniest was the ‘carpet bombing’ of rocks by huge birds. It was something that I did not expect. I give this movie 4 over 5 stars, so for people who have not catch it yet, go get your tickets now!
Christmas Day
♥ 4:38 PM
25 Dec
Merry Christmas to all my friends. Went to church in the morning to help Jacob with his wedding door gift. We had to put a cd and a song lyrics into a envelop and later slot it in the calendar. There were only 4 of us, Jon, Matthias, Terrence Cheng and me so we could not finish all 700. After that at around 3 plus, Jon and me went for lunch. At 4:30pm the service started and we started with songs and a message. Dinner was provided and the food was not very good. Dinner time was spent together with fellow SF members, eating and chatting. I lost appetite when I saw a worm being fished out from Wendy’s food. Went home at around 9 plus.
Party and Bread Talk

♥ 12:25 AM
23 Dec 2005Went to Jon Foo’s house today to crash his class party. It was a pot luck party and I bought 4 bottles of sparkling juice. At 6:30 I met Danny and many others at Kovan MRT station. Sum was supposed to pick us up but he did not want to leave the air con condition in Foo’s house and I had to bring the group. Although I had been there many times, I still could not figure out the way there. By luckily I managed to bring the group to his house. At Jon’s house, some went to heat up the turkey and other food while the rest played while waiting. YY and Tim played PS2 while Sum and Danny played International Chess. I went around taking pictures and later played PS2 with YY. At around 9, the food was ready and we started eating. There were lots of food and we could not finish it all. The fried Udon and Fried Rice were great. After eating, we exchanged presents and later went home. I took 854 to Yishun and took a cab home as it was past the time for public transport. I am very fortunate to be invited to the party. Being with 7A was a feeling that I could not get from my classmates. It’s a irony that sometimes you will be close to another class instead of your own whom you spent more time with. But I feel very happy to be able to party with these people and hope that there will be more of such events in future.
24 Dec 2005Today is the Bread Talk event organized by the student fellowship. Woke up late today and had to rush to church for the rehearsal. But luckily, I was just on time for the rehearsal. During the rehearsal, some changes were made to the slides and at the same time I learnt a lot from my mistakes. After the rehearsal, I went to listen to Jon practise for the new song which was to be sung at Jacob’s wedding. After which we went to have our meal at around 2:45pm. At around 3:50 the program began to run and we had games, carols, bread quiz and dinner which were bread and salad. After eating, Desmond, Justin, Terrence and I went to give out presents and I received many too. After that was photo taking and I took some pictures. At around 10 plus, we left the church but remain at the entrance deciding where to go. Some went to Terrence Cheng’s house and I decide to go back to the house cause on 25th I am going to church early to help Jacob.
Merry Christmas to all

Got conned by the damm company. The job i applied for was a events co ordinator and my duties were surposed to be setting up of roadshows and exhibitions and doing some crowd control. However, when i went to the stupid place this morning, i realised that it was a job selling donation tickets. I am so pissed off and angry that i left after a while. For people out there, I'M 21 PTE LTD is a company that does fund raising, so don't get conned like me. I was so excited about this job as i hope it would be something different and its wasted so much of my time. Travelling from Sembawang to Kembangan is no joke especially for 3 times. But anyway its a lesson learnt.
The Promise

♥ 8:26 PM
Went to Liang Ying’s house today at around 11am to play maple story using his broadband and play PS 2 with him. When I got there, he is having a bath so I went to download a mp3 file that Zhi Zhen sent to me to prepare the slides for Christmas. After that, I played maple story and we created a new character to play in the 3rd world. Its shared by us so hopefully we can advance fast. At around 3pm we went to causeway point for lunch and movie. We watched ‘The Promise’ at 4pm.
‘The Promise’ is a love story set in a fantasy world. The female sought after made a promise to a goddess when she was a kid to exchange her happiness for riches. In this way, she could not have anyone she loved. So if she falls for someone, that person would die. In the story, she is loved by a general and his slave. The twist is the slave is mistaken for the general and she falls for the wrong man. However, in the end, she managed to be with the man she loved and he is kept alive by a clock.
It’s a rather nice show and quite touching I would say but still not enough to move my heart. It sort of teaches one to value the person we loved. So it you have the time to spare, you can try this movie.
SF Retreat 2005
Tuesday, December 13, 2005
♥ 9:49 PM
From 11 Dec to 13 Dec, I went to my first SF retreat at Changi Fairy Point Chalet. On Sunday, we gathered at church at 12pm to start the Amazing Race to the chalet, along the way, we had to complete some task and do some quizzes. The most interesting thing that happens at Chinatown point was that we have to find the store that sells a brand called ANTA. As luck would have it, my shoes were of that brand and I just bought it the day before. We are the fourth group to reach the chalet. The next day was games and it was quite fun and interesting. The theme of the retreat was ‘Knowing your influence, being an influence’. The message was mostly about living our lives as children of Christ and being a good influence to the people around us. At the same time we are also told of the different influences we are exposed to as we are a part of the world. From the retreat, I knew many people whom I have seen before and made many friends too. From now on, I will be more aware of my actions as I will be an influence to the people around me and I will live my life to serve as a living testimony to others. Oh one more thing, during the game I have to memorize the theme verse, Matthew 5:13-16, so now its stick in my head. Haha.
Camp Orion
Thursday, December 08, 2005
♥ 8:00 PM
Yesterday I went to volunteer at Camp Orion organized by the Singapore Youth for Christ. I arrived at PHS and 7:10 and found Jing Hui after calling him. Afterwards I met Justine and we had breakfast together. My first task was being a games conductor for some entrepreneurial game for the kids. After that I went to the briefing for race marshal of the trek. After lunch I went to the checkpoint with Benjamin. After a long wait, the teams finally arrived and we sign their cards. There was an injured guy and I gave him some alcohol swabs to clean his wound. I do not have any first aid knowledge so my help was limited but at least I know that alcohol is used to clean the wound. After that I went through the trail with 2 other staff of YFC. The hike through pierce reservoir was fun but I got into the mud twice and my shoes were very muddy by the time the hike ended. But the shoes were broken too, so I just dumped it. The destination was South View primary and we had dinner there. After dinner, I went home to rest. Overall the day was fun and I got to know many people but I can’t help but give some comments about the hike. During the hike, I was behind the last primary school team and when the secondary school team caught up, the started getting excited and wanted to go faster, but the girls were in front so the progress was somehow slower. The boys at the back then started making lots of noise and kept hurrying the girls and one girl ended up falling down. Perhaps they should have been brief before the hike about the importance of being in a team and not to grumble about the team mates. Maybe they are just too immature for this adventure. Who knows? From what I observe, even the team leader kept quiet and did not bother to keep the kids quiet. But I was only a checkpoint in charge that chose to come on the trek so I just kept quiet. Not very nice to say anything either.

Today i went to the Dentist for my tooth that was hurting after the filling. The bacterial infection was very deep right to the nerve so i had no choice but the extract it as the other option of caping it was too expensive. Now i have a huge hole and it was bleeding all the way in the afternoon and i felt faint and went to have a nap. Luckily now its fine, buti still have to wash my mouth after every meal to prevent inection and can only chew on the left side.
Class Chalet
♥ 8:42 PM
28 Nov was the start of my class chalet at Changi. We are supposed to meet at 1pm at Tampines MRT station so I took bus 969 to the MRT station. As usual, only Dave and MJ were there. A while later Javid came along and we headed to NTUC. At around 1:30 the rest started coming, and seriously I am dammed piss off. Some people really have no sense of time and even the responsibility to inform others if the are late. Some really irritates me is that some even have faces that seem to show that being late is alright. It is in my opinion disgusting. For one it’s shameful that one at the age of 18 could not read the time properly and it is extremely impolite to not inform others. But never mind it’s over now and we have to accept others for who they are and not impose our beliefs on them. For me I strongly believe the need to be punctual and on time for everything that we do. After everyone has finally arrived, we headed to the chalet first to put down our stuff and later head for Pasir Ris to purchase the food for the chalet and other stuff needed. For dinner on that day, we went to Changi village to have our meals. The food there is really good according to everyone. I had Fish and Chips and my gosh its really great. Shunyi, Dave, Luke and me ordered a BBQ stingray too and its was delicious too. After that we headed back to the chalet for Xbox games, Mahjong and card games. I played Mahjong till about 4am plus and Lucas was supposed to sleep at 10 according to him but ended up sleeping at 4 am plus. Talk cock.
At around 10am the guys room was booming with Shi Hui’s voice calling us to wake up. The plan was to go ‘Wild Wild Wet’ on that day, but many do not seem to want to go so in the end, only Hui Ling, MJ and Shi Hui went. At around 2pm, Javid, Luke, Jay, Dave and me went for lunch and pool. We bought ice and some other stuff on the way back. At night, was the BBQ and Mrs. Lim came with her husband. Well she was sort of telling us to go for the farewell tomorrow but no one seems interested in going and she tried to psycho us but only 4 people went. Seriously if I was not at the chalet, I would have gone. But some times things do not always turn out to be what we planned. So we have to act according to circumstances. After the BBQ, it was more fun. Ken, SY, Javid, Daryl, Lucas and me played risk. We played 2 VS 2 VS 2 with SY and Ken one team, Luke and Me the other and Daryl and Javid the other. Daryl was the first to be wiped out by me and afterwards was a battle between Luke and Me VS Ken and SY. We left Javid alone for a quite some time and it was really a terrible mistake. Javid grew powerful and I ended up losing South America and Europe to him. Seeing a crisis was coming, there was a marriage of convenience between the 2 warring fractions and we seek to weaken Javid together. However it proved to be very difficult with Daryl’s brilliant strategy and Javid’s great luck. We stopped at around 2am to walk to the car park to look at the transsexuals and played sparklers at the beach. Daryl and I slept in the living room that night and we chatted till we feel asleep. At around 6 I think Eleanor woke me up and Daryl and I went to the girls’ room to continue our sleep. We sleep till 11am on that day.
On Day 3, we went to East Coast Park for cycling. It was really fun and I cycled all the way to Changi. Dave learnt how to cycle on that day too and he was really a fast learner. After the cycling, we played football and Daryl’s toe nail broke. After the football game, we headed back to the chalet. Javid went home after that followed by Shun Yi. We had some dinner which consists of some left over food and then I played Dai Dee and UNO with Ken, Shi Hui, Eleanor and Dave. Well after that Ken and Eleanor went to sleep and Shi Hui, Dave and I went to Changi village for a drink. I had tissue Prata and a cup of tea with milk. After that we headed back to the chalet and pull some pranks on the rest by painting their faces while they sleep. But the next day, the powder was gone and they did not realize it. So it was a failure, but the process was fun. During the night, my leg was aching so badly that I was shivering. Dave was quite worried and woke Shi Hui up. But I was ok later and fell asleep soon after.
We checked out at 10am on Day 4 of the chalet. Ken and me helped El to carry some of her stuff to her house and we fell asleep on her sofa while watching TV. After that, we went to have lunch and I went home.
