Finally the course for the class 2B has ended. After a month of struggling with the bike and learning the various skills of balancing such as the plank, Rib Bridge and the figure of 8 and the confidence ride plus the exciting off road training, I have finally got a riding permit to prove that I have completed the course. Sad to say the permit does not entitled us to ride civilian bike only military bikes are allowed. I can remember the first day I went for the figure of 8 test using the bicycle and I was the only one that rammed into the cone. But I am very happy to have finally pass the course along with my other course mates. The days of staying back for remedial training have finally paid off for me. I am the only one that stayed back all the time since RT began to train extra. The efforts were not wasted and I only retake the circuit test once and went on to pass the remaining test with a single try. After the course, we are supposed to have 2 days of break but as I have guard duty on Tuesday night, so I have to book in on Tuesday afternoon at 13:30. But oh well not much difference to me because I do not usually go out anyway. For the whole bike course, I have indeed enjoyed it very much as I get to learn a new skill as well having more confidence in myself to do things which I would never have done. Along the way, I have also made many new friends. Now that the course has ended its time to head back to unit for more training, although the times at SDC were good and it was fun but all good things have to come to an end and we should look forward to what is ahead of us and not live in past.
