Luggage party

Today was loading luggage for the Taiwan trip and it marks the end of our stay at SMI. At 0700, we gathered at the chin up bar and began moving the kit bags and ops box onto the tonner. At around, 1 plus everything was done and we left the cargo complex for Bedok for lunch. The worse part of today was having to take the tonner from PLC to Changi. Imagine travelling in a vehicle that can only travel at 50km/h max. I slept in the tonner while listening to my radio. We had lunch at Bedok and i was amazed at the appetite of my friends. Haha. Most had 2 servings of meals and some even had desert. Tomorrow morning my platoon leaves for Taiwan and it is with sadness that i could not join them due to my injury. Life is unpredictable and humans can only plan so much. Tomorrow the result of my ultrasound scan will be out and i wonder whats wrong with my shoulder. Shall not worry too much just trust in the Lord.

Today was horrible. When i was going to PLC, it rained super heavily and I had to walk quite a distance before reaching the guard house and an even longer distance before getting to SMI. By the time I reached the place, my pants were wet and so were my bag. After arriving, Sg Fong's instructions were to hand him the bunk keys by 0800 so Qi Yuan and me went to have breakfast. Jack is really an ass, he was darn late cause he refused to walk in the rain and waited at the bus stop for the rain to stop. When he arrived, we tricked him into thinking that he got an extra for being late. Basically the day later was quite slack. I helped Sg Fong do some admin work and return some stores. Boy he has so much to do that he was basically bursting. When i was at the office, PS Peter asked Sg Fong whether it it possible for me to be attached to another course and guess what, Sg Fong said its ok and can be done. Now's the problem, deep down I want to go for the course and on the other hand, I dun wanna strain my injured shoulder. Think I shall see what the doc says when I see him on wednesday.

Today's service was quite ok. We had a summary on romans 1 to 11 and it ended quite early. But after some talk here and there, it ended at around 11. After service, Danny, Justin, Samuel and me went to Coco for lunch. We ate and at the same time catch up with each other. After lunch was BS and we had sharing. Discuss some topics as well as talk about our lives and how it has been. We also heard from Jon through the phone as he could not make it for BS today due to extra duty. It seems that he is in quite a sad state. He is a service medic which for many would be a slack 8 to 5 job and maybe even stay out. But as luck would have it, he is posted to commando camp and he has so much work to do and so many weekend duties. Haiz. Army, no choice but suck thumb for 1 year and 10 mths. During BS, Jacob suggested to me that i might be given a BS group to lead. My first reaction was I am still so young and how to lead others. I was truly shocked, but Jacob assured me that I could do it and that he would help me. Maybe I will give it a try and see what goes and we will play by the ear. When we parted today, we also agreed to go clubbing when Justin comes back from Taiwan.

Oh man I just wasted a long weekend, for the whole day, I literally just sat in front of my computer and download stuff. After which, I turn off the monitor and started playing my PSP. Played burnout legends and Samurai Warriors. Nice games and I manage to get quite far till I got bored. Hmm church tomorrow and book in on Monday 0715 at Pasir Laba Camp.

Yay Friday book out. Haha. We are supposed to book out tomorrow evening according to the schedule, but I am out tonight. It’s a super long weekend too since I only have to book in on Monday morning at 07 15 Hr. Hmm the day was ok actually, in the morning we returned the stores and later did some moving of stuff and the day ended. There was a lot of break and rest in between so it’s a slack day after all. Finally after 2 more days in SMI, I am going back to my unit to continue to slack I hope. Haha.

Finally booked out from Pasir Laba Camp after 6 days in camp. Life in School of Military Intelligence is quite relaxed according to some but personally I hate it. I am not there on the course but I still have to be there 6 days to be a storeman. It's like WTH it's not as if I have to be there. But too bad suck thumb. Hope I can posted out soon. Whatsmore i am in the luggage party moving luggage which does not even belongs to me. Seems that people in the course can't move their own bloody luggage. It sux to be unfit and whatsmore the injury is due to training. Pui. I WANNA POST OUT SOOON OUT OF THIS STUPID PLACE.

Yet another week has passed and my this has been an interesting week. First of all, I had my ultrasound scan on the 5th which is on Tuesdays and I saw Tina at the Department of diagnostic imaging. She is having an attachment there doing x rays for people. Anyway according to the doctor there, the crack on my shoulder joint is still there and there is some muscle tear too. But he did not say much just that he is going to feedback to the orthopedic doctor and I will only know what is really wrong on 27th September when I visit the clinic. In the meanwhile, I guess I just have to pray hard for nothing to happen and hope that I get a better posting since I am no longer able to go for the scout course. Anyway I think I am no longer fit to be in the platoon since I am not fit to go for any course anyway. Even if I do stay due to my driving skills I will be the odd one out without the jungle hat. So I pray too that I will be out of this platoon.
While in camp, all I do is slack around and do nothing. Still the SAF is too screwed up to quickly post me to elsewhere. The funny thing is although I am not in the scout course, I am still required to go to SMI with the rest of the platoon and it’s a 6 day work week. Its so frustrating. But too bad suck thumb.
On Thursday the platoon had 3 more IPPT gold and during SOC, the whole platoon was activated to run with the 6 people who still fail, but alas no one pass SOC. Well it could be due to too many people running along which stress the person taking the test. This could be a lesson learnt that too many cook spoil the broth. After the SOC in the night, the whole platoon went to Marina South to have steamboat dinner. It was fun night out and I drank around 3 mugs of beer and felt a little high. (Laugh out loud) Next time shall not drink so fast. We were gluping one mug at one go. After the dinner, we went to the arcade to play while some went to play bowling, billiard and lan gaming. At around 23 20, we went back to camp.

Went to lunch with Mrs Lim and Elle today. We had lunch at sizzlers. Its the first time I ate there and find it quite nice from the place to the food. The best part is the free flow of salad bar. Haha lots of yummy food to select from there. Had a great time during chatting and catching up with each other. From Mrs Lim Nanyang had changed a lot. It sort of became a 2nd Aj with people mugging all over the place. Think its a good thing. Too bad i am born too early. After lunch, I went home.

Hmm been slacking for the week and this should be what i will be doing for a long long time since i have a 2 mths of light duties and excuse upper limb. I hope to get posted out of scout soon. Actually I want badly to be a scout trooper wearing the jungle hat which is proof of the tough training that you go through however some things are just not meant to be. The crash has cost me to miss ASPC which is the course to get the jungle hat and the sad thing is I am driver trained so PS's intention is for me to STAY!! in scout and be the extra guy. To me its NO WAY MAN!!! so extra, no jungle hat still stay in scout. Hope to get posted out soon. Anyway i went for my first physio theraphy today. Well my therapist is a different one from the one who saw me when i was in NUH but its ok since this one is much prettier. HAHA. Well she seems puzzled that i am required to see her cause she says that my shoulder is not really stiff just weak from the crack at the joint. But since its the first session, all i did was some simple exercise to move my arm a bit and see hows the condition. I still have to wait for the results of the ultrasound scan to further determine the treatment i need.
