Went to watch World Trade Centre with Liang Ying. The show is about the true story of the heroic survival and rescue of two Port Authority policemen – John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno – who were trapped in the rubble of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, after they went in to help people escape. The film also follows their families as they try to find out what happened to them, as well as the rescuers who found them in the debris field and pulled them out. Only 20 people were rescued alive from the World Trade Center after the collapse of the buildings abd Officer Jimeno (Michael Peña) and Sgt. McLoughlin (Nicolas Cage) were the 18th and 19th. In my opinion its a great show and i would recommend it to anyone who has the time. Its not a fantastic cinematic experience but it is very true about how human react to adversity and especially how will your families react should they know that you are in danger. It's also interesting to note what goes through people's mind and the stuff they think of when they are so close to death. The show has a happy ending when the 2 officers trapped recover from their injuries and are back with their families. But in the laughter, there are also thousands who have died in this act of terrorism. Can you imagine how would you react when you are only like that close to death. What would go through your mind and who will you turn to for help and comfort. For me, the closest I've been to death is during my bike accident. Honestly during the moment when I got thrown off, my mind was a total blank and I was unsure of what would exactly happen to me. Even if I could come to a stop, there is still a chance that I might get hit by some thing. It was until I was lying on the ground and waiting for the paramedics that I thank GOD for keeping me alive.
