Got a call from El today when I was doing my PO duty, she and Dave was going to plan some dinner or lunch for my birthday. I am so happy that I have classmates who do this. I really appreciate it guys and hope we can be friends forever. I know it sounds cliche but its really hard to maintain friendships especially when we all go to different schools and later have different jobs.
The new RPs really cannot make it man. Although I am new too but I really cannot tahan them. Firstly their rifle salute is crap and it seems like BMT did not teach them anything at all. Wonder what they learn there anyway. Think that they need drill lessons. Secondly, they seem to be very slack and fond of complaining. I mean come on now we are like only working like 4 or 5 hours a day only and they can still take over late and complain when given like 5 hours. When I just arrive at Seletar, I did an average of about 7 hours a day and never did I complain. When I have more duty, it’s a chance for me to learn more about the job and to do my job better. So now their work is screwed up and they are complaining when they get more hours. No wonder their test results are bad too although they attend the full OJT while I only attended a few lessons and still managed to score a lot higher. For those who think that RP is slack, let me tell you that it is not. Our job may look easy but its not as it seems it is. We have to deal with different types of people on our job and there are people who are just out to make our lives hard. Then again we have to be polite and yet firm. Anyway it’s a place for me to learn about how to deal with people and improve my EQ.
Recently the RPs' are getting more active. First we go for life run twice a week and we started to play soccer too. Just today, we played soccer and later I went for a run with SO. It's good to have more exercise so that the RPs can keep fit too and not grow fat from eating the delicious canteen food available just 10m away. Lolz
Ok since my birthday is round the corner and wishes are supposed to come true on birthday or so I thought so this is my wish list. Wonder if any kind soul would get them for me. Lolz
