On Saturday, I met up with Sam and Jon to go watch the Chingay and at the same time to catch up with each other. When we were outside of the MRT station, there was a huge crowd and being not very tall, we could not see much except for the top part of most of the floats. So we went to food republic to get a drink and talk. We are quite lucky to be able to get a window seat, where we could watch the parade as well as chat with each other. After the parade ended at around 10pm, we went to the street to view the street party. Well the whole street filled with people dancing like a huge club and we just stand and watch. After that we walked to dhoby ghaut station to catch a train home. On the way to the station, there were break dance performances, cosplay characters and much other interesting stuff.
On Sunday, there was CNY visitation and we went to Marcus’s house for lunch and after that to Gilbert’s. After service, there was AGM and I did not attend or rather was not required to. Justin suggested going to his house and we went there to wait till its time to go for our first stop which was Marcus’s house. We had a lunch of pizza and pasta and the food was simply great and delicious. At 3pm, we went to Gilbert’s house. When I got home, I got a call from SO asking for a favor to cover Syahid’s duty as he had something on. So I agreed and went to camp at 9 pm to do his duty. For this, I got one weekend duty less in March.
Sam’s commissioning parade is on 10 March and so heng I got duty on that day, but today it was cancelled due to me covering for Syahid. So Sam, I can attend it liao. Dun worry, I will rob, steal, beg, borrow and kill to ensure I am free of duty on that day.
