Oh man I have so much that I want to blog but have been either too lazy or busy doing some other stuff to do it. Think I shall just do some updates in this entry and save those essay types for later posts.
On Friday, I was free last minute so I stayed behind at camp to asked around if anyone wanted to go have dinner and maybe to celebrate with Raimie as he is going to ORD. In the end, the only ones left were Budi, Shah, Ramdan, Raimie and I. We decided to go pack some food at Jalan Kayu and celebrate with a huge feast. Budi, Shah and I went to get the food and we bought a lot man, Indian Rojak, Mutabak, Satay, Magi Goreng, chips and drinks and went to have a great feast to celebrate Raimie’s ORD. Too bad for the others who could not join us, we had lots and lots of fun with all the eating and talking and joking. We discuss rocket science and had some magnificent display and later had some evaluation session by Prof Budiman, Doc Shah and our F1 driver. The interviewer was none other than special reporter ME!!. Lolz. Certainly a great night to remember. Guys remember to celebrate with me when I ORD too.
On Saturday, I went to Geylang with Benny, Herman and Jason to try the famous beef kuay teow, bean curd and the durians. Lets start with the beef kuay teow first, it was the best I have ever eaten and I am not kidding. The beef and so soft and tender that it almost dissolves in your mouth and with the tinge of chili in the sauce makes the whole dish simply delicious. For people who hate beef kuay teow, this will make you love it and for people who loves it like me, you won’t eat other beef kuay teow again. After that we went to try the bean curd and it was just as great. The bean curd is so soft and smooth that it could just slide down your throat when you put a spoonful into your mouth. Its simply great but it was a little too sweet for my liking though. The durian is well normal nothing much actually.
Saturday was also an eye opener as Herman brought us to walk around the red light district area. I never actually know Singapore was like that and one would never think it was like that either. Prostitutes were just all over on the paths looking for potential customers and many were so young and quite pretty. Illegal gambling and pornographic vcds were all around too. Well it was a good experience to know the different sides of Singapore and this is a side that I have not seen till Saturday and in every society, such things will always be there as a place for people to seek pleasure and well sometimes we rather have a control area than ban them and risk the increase in rape cases. Certainly an eye opener for me.
BS today was on the armour of god and about how we should put on each piece of armour and protect ourselves against the evil one, stand firm when under attack and also to fight back using the word of GOD. Intereting topic which makes me guilty about the lack of quiet time that I have and this makes me vulnerable and I must improve my quiet time, renew my faith each day and have the full armour of GOD all the time to be ever ready.
