Went to Alexandra Hospital today for my wisdom tooth consultation, first I had an X – Ray of my entire mouth taken and after waiting for a while went to see the surgeon. I had 3 wisdom teeth to be removed and I opted for general anaesthesia since I was always anxious when I visit the dentist and general reduces movement and thus would prevent as little nerve as possible from being damaged. The only risk that the doctor told me was that there is a five percent chance of damaging a nerve near the area and the worse thing could happen is lost of sensation of the lower lips but most of the time it recovers. My operation date is 27 august at Jurong Medical Centre which is just opposite boon lay MRT station. The only preparation that I need is to fast 8 hours before my operation and I need my parents to approve it since I am under 21. lolz.
