Been ill for this week and finally it’s the end of the week. After falling ill on last Thursday and having mc for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I have been feeling well and my body aches and fever comes on and off and it’s real terrible. Coupled with the bad weather and the lack of manpower which means more time spend under the sun makes it real bad for me. When I got home on Tuesday, I was so sick that when I got home, I slept from 2030 all the way to next morning. On Thursday, I vomited at the gate and my duty was taken over by the guard 2 and Khai. Luckily, I was feeling ok today and slightly better.
On Wednesday, we had a 100% all vehicle checks and my we caught lots of Nsman with camera phones, contraband cigarettes, pirated stuff and there was a great jam at seletar from the gate all the way to inside. It was real madness and we were so busy checking that we were all drained and exhausted when we finished. All the Nsman caught were charged and had to pay a fine of $50 before they could collect their phone and it was the first time that I saw RSM so pissed with these guys. In the morning we gave them so many reminders and RSM was even there rain or shine to tell them that camera phones are not allowed and 2 of them was caught in camp which spark off the checks. So its too bad and they have only themselves to blame.
2 more weeks of this shit and everything will be over, after which I will start clearing my leave and offs till I ORD. 6 more duties to go.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-24
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit's fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
Colossians 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
I was doing my daily reading of The Journey when I came across these 2 verses which talks about what we have at message last week about prayer. In our busy lives, where we have just so much to do, sometimes we may forget to pray or even have this thought that I can always do it tomorrow but the tomorrow only comes occasionally or never at all. However as a Christian prayer is our fundamental discipline and nothing can be done or happens without prayer. When we pray, we are not only empowered and delivered from our temptations, it is also a form of getting to know God and involving God in whatever which do. When we neglect prayer, are we not neglecting the God who so love us that He gave up so much just to save us and he loves us so much that He knows us by our names (I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. 3The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. John 10:1-4). For me, I am also guilty of not praying always due to my busy schedule and the things to do seem so endless and sometimes I am just too tired that I think I can just pray tomorrow and God won’t mind. Worse still many of us are guilty of being crisis prayer people where we only pray when we encounter some crisis or we need God’s help in certain things that we do.
In this verse, we have 3 learning points. First we are to continually pray diligently making it the main thing in our lives and not just following a list in the morning and when we have a certain need. We should be praying always as we go about in our lives. Secondly, we are to be watchful and be aware of the needs around us. Lastly, prayer has to be accompanied with thanksgiving and faith that God will answer our prayer. With this, I hope to change my own attitude with regards to prayer and pray that I will be diligent and make prayer a part of my life.

Been ill on Thursday, not sure what happen but all of a sudden, I felt ill with a fever, flu, cough and sore throat coming up on Wednesday night. I got MC on Thursday and I practically slept the whole day cause I was too weak to do anything and my head is spinning and the feeling is just terrible so I just went to sleep and rest. Thursday night was worse when I started feeling very cold and I just shiver and shiver for 2 hours under my blanket and then fell asleep. Went for driving this morning and I wonder how I managed to survive it but it was ok, I tried out a 2 test routes and it was mainly just driving around and practicing all the turns and stuff. Back to camp and I went to the MO and got 2 days Att C so I get to rest for this weekend instead of a Saturday duty which would have made it worse. But thank God for a reservist doctor who was very understanding and for my MSG who asked me to go see a doctor since I was still not well. Still not feeling too good, feeling hot all over and my head is still spinning. Hope I can get well soon.

I am very happy to see that the BBQ yesterday was a success and many of the RPs, old and current did their best to come to this event where we all have a chance to have a gathering and also to find out how our seniors are doing now. Fortunately, RSM contributed $50 and thanks to the rest of the RPs who fork out the money, that we are able to buy the food and book the pit cause many did not pay and also very much thanks to Shah who contributed from his own pocket the money for the car rental and also for transporting us around and sending us back home. Thanks bro. At the BBQ, we had lots to eat and drink and to chat with each other to catch up and well all the seniors who ORD are doing well with their lives now and as Raimie say, NS is a life experience and we should cherish this experience as it is really once in a lifetime. Thanks guys for turning up. Hope we get to meet up again soon.
Message today was on prayer by Zhi Yun and Aileen. It was a good one where it is good for us to really learn about this basic thing that many of us had take for granted and many who think that well I can always do it tomorrow. I guess after know the purpose of prayer, how we should pray and what kind of attitudes we should have, we should be more willing to pray for through prayer, we will get to know God, it empowers us and it will involve God in what we do. So take from tomorrow, start and end each day with prayer.
After church, I went to meet Liang Ying and we went to watch the movie, Ratoutollie. It’s a nice movie, and well quite worth watching.

On the way to driving today, I saw Vik in the MRT. Oh my what a coincidence and we are both going the same way, I was going to Jurong East while he is going to AH for his medical appointment. We chatted and catch up with each other and well he is doing well in his new unit as a clerk and its quite slack there. Anyway its only around 2 months more for us and we don’t really care anyway. Lolz.
Today’s lesson was not bad and my 3 point turn is smooth now and very soon I can start on my parking and then all I left is practice and practice till my test date which is on 27/12.

Had a driving lesson yesterday and I drove a Lancer as the old Toyota Corolla was being scrapped and a new Axio is coming in next week. My 3 point turn is improving and I did not stall during the execution and my turns are getting smoother too. Hopefully next lesson I can start on parking.
Went to Zouk with Shu Wen, Jing Wen, Liang Ying and his friends. Well hall 8 had some sort of bash and we got the tickets from Shu Wen. Its quite a bargain considering that we get 2 free drinks for 18 and after which we get access to both Zouk and Phuture. The drinks had to be redeemed by 10 so SW, JW and I combine our tickets to get one jug of Volka Lime and one jug of burbon coke. After our drinks, we went to the dance floor. At around 2230, the music was changed to trance and the crowd moved to Phuture and Phuture was damm packed like sardine like that. After dancing for a while, Jw and I got a flaming Lamborghini as there is a one for one offer. I got a lychee and apple martini too and shared it with SW and JW. After the drinks, Sw and Jw went back first with one of their hostel mate.
At around 12, Jeremy came and we danced all the way till 4. We danced in Phuture and basically everyone was standing next to each other as it was just too packed. There were a few fights cause of pushing but come on man if you can’t stand this then stay at home man and dun come clubbing. This is my first time clubbing after the smoking ban and well it’s certainly less smoky and my clothes do not smell cause of cigarette smoke but then again other people’s smell will be more obvious if you get what I mean. Lolz
Retreat meeting postponed again as tomorrow almost all my members can’t make it so well we just have to rush more later.

I got excuse uniform for one week due to my rashes which cause me to itch every time I sweat and its those picky kind which makes it super irritating and it is affecting my daily life. So for now all I have is pass office duty which is quite slack but I rather do the normal duties. Hopefully the cream and drugs given by the MO works.
Here is some advice for people who want to book a BBQ pit at any park, decide carefully the date, time and place because once its booked, you cannot make anymore changes to it so have to suck it up or lose your booking fee. So far the planning for the BBQ for the RPs are going on well with most people being able to make it and the food is settled so I guess we just have to get prepared to have a great time.
Recently the topic has been about this guy who took a SAR21 and some live rounds out of camp during guard duty and was caught in orchard road. My first reaction to this was SIAO AH that guy what was he thinking man so I guess he must have been dealt a blow and from reports today it seems that he broke up with his girlfriend and maybe he could not accept it and wanted to finish her off at Cine where its her favorite hangout. But then again if he wanted to kill someone he would not have given up without a fight so I guess most probably he was just trying to scare his competitor off. But anyway because of his actions there would probably be many implementations to tighten security and accountability. So I guess its goodbye to sentries standing alone at the main gate and more checks on bag and more restriction to people driving to camp.

My eczema has been real bad these few days. When I perspire, my whole body itch like mad and its unbearable. Think I need to get some medicine for my skin or I will die soon.
Had lunch with Mrs Lim, Elle and David today at Swensens. Mrs Lim is 7 months pregnant and it’s a girl. Its been some time since we last met each other and we had a great time today chatting and updating each other about ourselves. Basically we talk about the class and also about what each one is going to study in university. Before we left, we gave Mrs Lim ice cream mooncakes for teachers day.
After lunch, I went to have my stitches removed. According to the dental surgeon, my wound is healing well and for the next 2 weeks, I have to flush my wound with water at least once a day or preferably after every meal.
End of MC and back to work tomorrow. SIANZ

New blog skin. Was browsing blogskins.com and I chanced upon this and liked it so I decided to changed my long overdue and stagnant skin.
Wonder what happen, but my would suddenly bleed for no reason. After having my porridge, I tasted blood in my mouth and went to spit out and saw dark red blood in my mouth. I checked but there were no signs of blood coming out from the area with the stitches. But luckily after a while the bleeding stopped.
Right now I really miss food as I can't really eat a lot of food for fear it would just stucked somewhere that I can't clean. So I have been sticking to liquid food mainly like porridge and milo and soyabean.
Feeling sleepy now, going to bed. Nitez
