Saturday’s duty was certainly a busy one. First of all as usual were the contractors who kept coming in and out due to some work being done and also we had to turn away some who had not submitted the nominal roll for work to be carried out on weekends. How I wish that I could just turn all of them away. Its so frustrating to keep opening and closing the damn heavy gates for people. Its ok to open for high ranking officials cause too bad the army is a rank based organization but what really disgusts and irritates me is to open for people of a lower status. When will people ever understand this crap logic and do something about it. Secondly there was some commotion when the DOS caught some people fishing. Luckily I found the nominal roll in the drawer and the previous day IC did not even told me about it. I was thus able to answer to the DOS. There was a blackout in one area and as they could not get the repairs done on time, the whole area was in darkness and we had to constantly send a patrol team there. Luckily such incidents are rare or duties would be very siong.
In the morning, the retreat group had a session with the SF committee members to present our proposal and at first it was quite stressful having to present to a large group of leaders but after a while, it was more like a discussions with the comm members helping us to shift our focus right and also giving some inputs and advice on what we can look out for. Well I am starting to get excited about this thing and well we can expect something really different. The members will meet again next week to iron out some details.
After meeting, was lunch with Jon and Justin and after which was some catching up with Jacob followed by BS on the parable of the sower and it was really a good learning lesson for the group as we learn about the importance of hearing of God’s word and how we should share it.
Next week is my last week of work till I start clearing my leave.
