Got a new pair of spectacles made on Friday, its mum’s birthday gift to me. I was very happy with it since my pair of spectacles is quite old already and it is getting outdated. Getting it on the 1st of January, just in time for a new image for the new year.
Evaluation at grapevine with Jacob, Nancy, Joseph, Jonathan, Danny and Sam See. Well it was a good and enriching session where we went through every single detail of the retreat and evaluate it hoping that it will aid future planners of the retreat.
Went to sentosa today for volleyball and also hoping to catch up with some of my camp mates. Had a few games of volley ball and had a dip in the sea. After leaving sentosa, we went to Marina Square for dinner at Carls Junior and shopped around before leaving for home.
Thanksgiving service tomorrow and I have a sharing to do. Hope all goes well.

30 points and one immediate failure and I have another retest on 31st March. Today was finally the day of my driving test. In the morning, my practice was ok but during the test, I guess I was too nervous and did not do too well. Comment was my judgment was not too good, I tend to drive too slowly and I forget to check some blind spot. Well on the whole vertical parking killed me the most and while on the road, I nearly crashed into a van when changing to the right lane so I guess I am not ready to drive yet and should practice more and give a better shot for the next test.
Feeling like crap today, everything seem to go wrong for me. But this is not going to dishearten me, tomorrow is going to be a better day.

Had another lesson before my test tomorrow. Well it was not too bad, only not very used to driving at night when the sky is dark and my eyes are always affected by the glaring headlights. Tomorrow is finally the day of the test, after waiting for like 6 months, the moment is here. Pray that I will be able to pass it and dun have to spend more money on it. It is starting to take a toll on my finances. Feeling super tired today, gonna rest early for the test tomorrow.

Lunch today at Cartel with mum and dad, hmm can’t really remember the last time we ate out together but nevertheless it was great to feel like a family again. After lunch, we went to shop around and I bought a pair of shorts. At around 5, mum and I took a bus to attend my cousin’s husband’s wake at lor lew lian. It was quite sad that they had 3 children and the youngest was only in primary 5. When we got there, she cried the moment she told my mum and from her condition, she must have been crying a lot and it was taking a toll on her. Life is so unpredictable sometimes, we can just leave this world anytime and we do not even have the time to say goodbye. Therefore, we should not take each day for granted but instead live life like theres no tomorrow, in this way even if we are to go right now, we won’t have to regret.
At around 8, I walked Aunt Betty to the bus stop and after that proceed to Candice house for the caroling, prayer and thanksgiving session. Well it was great with many people turning up and Candice’s house was so packed. We started off with a prayer and singing of carols and after the songs, we had a thanksgiving and sharing session where we took turns sharing our thanksgiving and how God has helped us through this year. For me I shared mainly about the retreat and how I have seen God’s faithfulness in seeing the team through this retreat. At around 2330, I went to meet up with mum and we went back.
Thanksgiving this Sunday and I am sharing too but still need to plan what I am going to say and my driving test is coming on Thursday and I am really nervous and excited about it. I pray that I would be able to pass it.
Christmas Bench

♥ 11:01 PM
Christmas bench on Sunday was really a fun thing. It was a musical put up by SF incorporating our own skit and original songs written and composed by SFers alone. The story line is good, about relationships and how we can trust God with any problems we may have and that he will always be there for us. Before the event, some of us were supposed to arrange the tables and chairs for the dinner, but the floor was so dusty and dirty from the renovation and we had to wash it. But we could not get the stupid firehose to work but after searching and trying, we managed to get a water spraying machine to work. So prior to that we used pails to wet the floor and brooms to scrub. After washing, we had to clean the chairs and arranged it. After all was done, I was very sweaty and went to Justin’s house to take a bathe.
After the musical was a message by Moses and it was well creative in linking the song Mary had a little lamb to Christmas, something that well few people would have thought of. Nevertheless it was a good message which was not too heavy but had all the important gospel points in it. Dinner was as the time to interact with our friends and also hopefully to share. I went to sit with Zhi Zhen and Zhi Yun and at the same time had a chat with Amanda and Betrice.
Photo taking after dinner was fun with my new N82 which had a 5 mega pixel camera. I was just going around snapping like nobody’s business. From now on I can just leave my camera at home. My phone is literally a camera. We went to dhoby ghaut and later walk all the way to orchard. Along the way was more photo taking and chatting. When we reached orchard, I went to meet Camille and went home with her.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY FRIENDS, May you guys have a blessed christmas and a great year ahead.

Its been a long time since I last updated and there is plenty to be recorded and usually I will be sick of typing and just rush through some of the event. Shall try my best to stay focused and not rush through this entry. Last week was pretty much mundane with work as usual after the party and the office was pretty quiet without Ian around and the difference is really significant. (Just a harmless joke, LOLZ). On Saturday, it was driving and well not too bad, at least Mr Chong was quite relaxed throughout as he did not have to correct much of my turns or parking. Time really flies and my in a flash of time, my test is only next week. Hope that I would really be on the best of forms and not make any mistakes and hopefully pass on my first attempt.
On Sunday, I went down to Bukit Batok after my church service to buy the N82 hand phone which was on offer. I am quite keen on getting it and since during the road show, it was having a good deal, I decided to go down to get it. The queue was damn long and I waited for almost 5 hours before buying the phone. It was also thanks to one of my friends that I got to know in seletar that I managed to get it so quickly or else I would have to wait even longer. It’s been 5 years since I changed my hp and using the N82 was quite new to me as the functions and program was greatly different from the old phones and well I lost touch with it. After playing with it for a while and reading the manuals and online guide, I managed to get some themes for the phone, get a ebook reader, bible and also messenger on the phone to utilized the function fully. Next step is how to transfer music to the phone and finding the file on the memory card.
On Tuesday, I went with banking 2 for their division lunch. Although I am from banking 3 but I am so used to being around them that I feel comfortable being with them. When they were planning to have their lunch, Jann asked me along and well of course I agreed. We went to have ramen which was great. The portion is huge, the taste is great and it was overall satisfying. After our meal, we chatted for a while and I realized many interesting things in the office. After our meal, we stop by for yoghurt and after which went back to the office. After work, I went to meet Liang Ying for a movie at Plaza Singapura(PS). We went to collect our tickets which I had booked the night before. It was fortunate that I booked the tickets as the queue was super long and I was like wow, lucky. Before the movie, we went to have dinner at Burger King and brought the unfinished stuff into the cinema, for me it was only the drink left. We watched the Warlords and it was a great movie with a good story line and well directed scenes. The battle scenes especially was the most enjoyable part of the movie where heads were chopped, throats silted and limbs cut off. For those who have not watched it, it is highly recommended that you go watch it and a spoiler for you, in the end all 3 of them died. Lolz.
Quiet day today, with one contract for a 1 week receptionist and the candidate was pretty and to think that I forgotten how she looked like. Lolz. Bad news for us temps, for the whole of next week, we do not have to go to work which is very siong for us as we will lose out on a lot of money. Anyone needs a one week worker?

Christmas celebration yesterday and well it was a super early one but nevertheless, it was a great one where I had lots of fun and really get to see my colleagues’ fun side. In the morning, I had to lug 2 huge bags of present to the office and in the MRT every other person was staring at my bags. The mood was relatively light and everyone was happy and jovial that day. Best thing is OC is not there and there was like no mood for work. When we came back from lunch, the office was already exchanging their gifts for each other and so Nathan and I decided to give banking 2 their gifts. We got Jann a lava lamp and I think she liked it, Veron got a zhao cai mao hand phone strap and Amanda got a variety of food and key chain from Nathan and I. For Gina, we gave her a small keychain at first since she told us that it was the thought that matters and I think she was like oh how I regret that comment. Then we took out her real present which was a huge monkey cushion and I think she liked it a lot. Then I went to distribute presents to my banking 3 colleagues, which is where I am from. I got Ivy a huge strawberry pig cushion, Shirley a hello kitty air freshener, Alicia a cup and Ariel a bear piggy bank. Elaine wants to keep her present for Christmas so it’s still wrapped up. Ivy told me that they would give me my present later. At around 1645, we left for orchard where the party is to be held. We went to the central division where we met up with the temp and perm staff of the recruit express central branch. They are really a different bunch of people, and they were much more high and hyper compared to the people at 6 battery road. At the party, we mainly ate and mingle among ourselves, the temp staff at 6 battery while the perm staff was having loads of fun among themselves, taking pictures and joking around. It was a really fun group of people to be with. When its time for my presents, I got a shock. First of all, my banking 3 people got me to open the first gift on the spot and I was like the center of attraction for a while and everyone was excited to know what was in it and it turned out to be a G string undies. I was like WHAT!!!!. But it was really fun and I got 2 more gifts from them, a wallet and a book and Elaine got me a hand moisturizer. After the party ended, Glenn, Nathan, Shawn and I went to have dinner at coffee club and we chatted for quite a while before parting for home.
Today was a great day, 4 temps filled today. Hope that everyday will be like this.

Finally the retreat is over and its been months of hard work for many of us and I wish to especially thank Jonathan, Jacob, Moses, Justin, Daniel, Samuel, Zhi Yun and last but not least Sam See. For the planning team, this is the first time that Sfers ourselves plan for a retreat and we are so honored to be the ones. These few months have really been difficult and stressful for us as we sit through hours of meetings to crack our heads to plan for this retreat. Finally by God’s grace, we managed to pull through this retreat and I am glad that it went well and though it was a bit last minute but we still managed the theme special. Through this planning, I really learnt to work with people in my church and how many circumstances can happen and how to handle them well. I thank God for providing us with Jacob and Moses who help us with many advices along the way. Through this planning, I also learnt really to commit things into the Lord and seeing how the Lord sees us through these things is really amazing and I really thank God for all the help and blessings he has shower on us. Now that retreat is over, next up is our own evaluation to see how we have fare and how we can further improve.
Christmas celebration this coming Wednesday at Nee Ann City and we are going to see all our other colleagues. Wonder how is it going to be like and I hope for a fun time.

Temps filled for the day, zero. Another quiet day and according to Gina its going to be like that for a while. But I attached like 3 resume today for perm job and I hope that it will yield some result for me and also extra income for me too.
Finally finished Heroes Season 2, it was quite a sad and unexpected ending and due to the writers’ strike, there is not going to be a season 3 anytime soon but well it can be a ending itself without any season 3 according to Tim Kring, the author of the Heroes Series.
Tomorrow will be a better day. 4 temps a day, everyday.

Today was relatively quiet in the office; firstly there are not many job orders and not much calls and people coming either. I managed to fill 2 jobs today and both of them are coming down to sign the contract today. By late afternoon, I was helping Elaine with her timesheet and other jobs that she needed me to do. After settling the timesheets, I was helping her with packing her calendars to be mail to her client. I stayed till around 1845 and the permanent staff was having their meeting. All was well at first till the reporting of sales figure. Apparently the boss was not very happy with one of my colleague and he was rather harsh and I think she could not take it and broke down. She went to the toilet to cry and the boss was rather angry saying that it was like bad habit to be moving around so much in a meeting. Well I guess this is life and working has its pressure and if you are underperforming, you will get the most pressure and it can be stressful at times.
In life, there are ups and downs and the important thing to remember is that if life hands you a lemon, make lemonade out of it. Its ok to fall, the important thing is to pick ourselves up, tell ourselves that tomorrow will be a better day and continue to work hard towards our goal.

Finally by God’s grace, we have managed to come up with the theme special. Initially I was quite worried since it’s very near to the retreat date liao and we have not come up with anything till last night. Today we also managed to settle many of the administrative stuff like the file content and the handout for tomorrow. Tomorrow we are also meeting group leaders and also filing the retreat files.
I just extended my contract to 12 May and it’s a long story. Apparently there is some mistake and thus we were supposed to be signing the long one. However now to standardize, everyone must either sign the full commitment one or leave the company immediately. Right now only 5 of the original 7 have remained. Well for me I like the place, the environment and the people there and I like the fact that it’s a fun job where we must constantly fight to increase our pay. Maybe I’ll even consider staying till end july or maybe I’ll get another job in May.
Driving today and it was quite bad since I have not been driving for a long time. But on the whole still passable. Traffic police test on the 27th, pray that I will pass.
