Been feeling very tired for this week. Not sure why but there is a sense of lethargic and being sianz with things around me. On Sunday, I came back straight after church and went to sleep after taking a bathe. On Monday, I went for a jog after I came back from work and right after dinner, I was tired too and went to bed soon after. Lots of admin work to do today, I managed to arrange an interview for Jason at GIC and hope that he can get the job although chances are quite slim. Finished up most of my admin work today and now left with the file labeling which is quite a lot to do. A lot of resorting and labeling. I went early in the morning and managed to retrieve all the invoices and also payslips are done too. 2 contracts coming tomorrow and one is a one time bill so its 10 dollars but when I was about to go back, I got a call saying that one of my candidates had fallen out. Sometimes we humans think that we got control over things but in actual fact, we have completely no control and things just happen. We are but so small and there are many things that we cannot do.
When Friday comes, a part of the office will be gone and it will be so different and the life and spirit is just gone. 3 more lunches and that’s all it is going to be. A farewell dinner on Friday, still planning where to go.
All feasts must come to an end and I have decided to leave come end march. It was really a tough decision with the environment so good, people are so friendly and there is never a dull day working at here. Nevertheless, its part and parcel of life and a change of environment to something more relevant to my studies next time is beneficial to me. Come first of march, government is also no longer with us anymore and they are relocating to orchard to the rest of the division there and one of legal department will be in our office. After 1st march, the office will be so dead and quiet cause we will not be really comfortable with another division but then again, who are we to complain.

A truly happening day for me today, filled with activities, unexpected situations and problems. In the morning, I went with Liang Ying for a haircut and following which, we went to catch CJ7 at Yishun GV and since Liang Ying forgot his trunks, he went back to get it first while I went to get the tickets first. At woodlands, there was a problem with the train and he was like just in time for the movie. After the movie, we went swimming at Yishun SAFRA and after which went for dinner. We had lots of food, wu xiang with bee hoon, rojak and popiah. The food at the coffee shop is good and there is a great variety too. After dinner, we headed to Time Zone to play for a while before heading for home. When I went to the kitchen to get a drink, I heard water sound coming from the cabinet beneath the sink and as luck would have it, the pipe burst and thank God I bought an extra one the last time and had a replacement for the burst pipe. I just replaced it and all was fine till we discovered that the pail containing soap powder was broken and I got a plastic bag to bag it to throw away the next morning, As luck would have it, the bag was broken too and after cleaning up the water, the floor is now soapy and well everything is just cleaned up now. What a day. Everything that can go wrong seem to go wrong in that few minutes.
On Tuesday, we had a new temp called Xian Rong who joined government division and is under Fiona. Well he is so far so good, seems like the honest and quiet kind but it is yet to be seen since he is from AC and can’t be too quiet. After work, all the temp staff headed down to V8 café to celebrate Evon’s birthday. Shawn and I went to get the cake while the rest went to the café first. On Monday, Shawn, Ian and I had dinner there and the food is good and the ambience is relaxing too and on top of that SAFRA members get 15% off the bill so we decided to go back there again. I had the chicken sandwich this time and since I tried the signature dish on Monday, Evon and Ian asked me if it was good and in my opinion it was but it turn out that they did not really enjoy it. After dinner, we sang birthday song for Evon and took photos. We chatted while having the cake and I took a video of Ian destroying the cake to eat the mango in the center. After chatting for a while, we paid the bill and left for the arcade. I played the sniper game and the last game we played was the basketball one and after that we went down to the fountain to take photos. Wonder who came up with the suggestion to run to the centre of the fountain to take photos and Vivian, Evon, Shawn and Ian really did that while I took photos for them and Nathan stood by the side. After watching the fountains for a while we went back.
Valentine’s Day today and it is another lonely day for me. Seeing the many couples together really makes one feel a little sad and cold in the heart. But the feeling is soon gone with other stuff to fill my mind. The office today is in a very light mood with many people getting flowers even Gina who says that she knows her bf enough to know that he will not send her any but surprise, she got a bunch and she called Andrew to ask what is wrong and he was like I give you flowers and you asked me what is wrong with me. Haha its really hard to understand girls sometimes. I teased Gina the whole day too by giving her 2 boxes of really suggestive stuff that look like some vigra like products but its really only ginger and she is always scolding me crazy and when she left the whole office was like hey Gina, remember the protection and stuff. The office people is very interesting and fun which makes the whole experience here very good and hard to leave. When I was about to leave the office today, I saw a guy behaving very weirdly outside RE and I thought its some mad guy and he turns out to be Alicia’s bf who is giving her a surprise and she was indeed surprised when his students turn up to look for jobs and she was wondering if she is doing walk in today. Anyway he is quite creative asking the students to take some photos of them and also releasing the balloons in the meeting room. After the excitement died down, we left for home.
For many during this time, it would be a time of shock and also a time of not knowing how to react and for some it could also be a time of disappointment and sadness. Whatever it is, remember there is a whole forest out there. Seek and you shall find it.
Having a bad cough now due to too much snacking on heaty snacks during the New Year. Hope that it will be better after drinking lots of water.
Went to Shi Hui’s house today after service and only Lucas and I from 7B were there, the rest were from her secondary school and we played blackjack and I was lucky today, initially I was losing when Shi Hui was banker but after Kenny took over and started losing, I volunteered to be the banker and teamed up Reiner and we won about 12 bucks each. We were lucky and even 4 cards with 20 points, the next card was an ace. Lolz. After Reiner had to go, I went back with him cause tomorrow work is starting and I want to rest too.
On Saturday, after visiting Mrs Lim, some of us went to watch Ah Long Pte Ltd and well it was a good show, worth watching and it shows a different side of the story. My view on this is that well, no one force you to borrow money from loan sharks and the borrowers are wrong too. So its not really fair to penalize loan sharks alone cause demand creates its own supply and allow such activities to thrive.
Starting work tomorrow and it’s a good break and it is now time to fill temps and earn lots of STB.
It’s the first day of Chinese New Year today, a major public holiday and a time of visiting relatives and also the loads of snacks to feast on. I woke up at around 1 plus after sleeping at around
We went to uncle mike’s house today as usual but this time around, we had free transport from sis’s bf and he went to play mahjong. It was very boring for me and all I did was watch movie after movie on star movie and snack. Tomorrow going to aunty Betty’s house to play blackjack with Nick’s friends who always visit. Pretty much usual every year. Saturday going to Mrs Lim’s house to see her and also her new born daughter.

New year’s eve this year was great with pizza dinner and after which Liang Ying came to my house to play mahjong. I sang karaoke while they played mahjong and after singing for a while alone, I decided to watch television instead and also upload some photos and also organize some files in my computer. Visiting uncle Michael’s house tomorrow and Betty Aunty house on Friday and finally Mrs Lim’s house on Saturday. Starting work on Monday and wish that in this year of the rat, I have good business filling lots and lots of temps and also good health.
Sam is back and last night our BS group had a meet up where we had supper at Glutton’s Bay. I left the office at around 7, after playing a few rounds of Naruto with Nathan and Amanda on our psp, took and bathe and came out again at around 9 to meet up for supper. On the way to Esplanade, I met Lip Yong and Samuel who were working at UOB and chatted with them for a while and I finally realized who Samuel was cause Lip Yong brought him to work there but I did not really have an idea of who he was.
It was nice to see Sam again after missing him for about 1 month while he was in NZ on exercise. We had some oyster omelet and fried hokkien noodles. It was a good time of meeting and catching up with each other. Glutton’s Bay is quite a nice place to have some food and chill out with friends and to add on to the atmosphere, you could also enjoy the live band music coming from DXO which is just beside the place. At around 2300, we left because we won’t want to miss the train back home.
Recently on my Tag board there was a girl who I think her name is Michelle who also works at RE. Wonder how she stumbled upon my blog and I realized that she is from West division.
CNY’s eve today and it’s the time for reunion dinner for families to get together and have a meal together. Having Canadian Pizza later, hope we will have fun.
Went back to Seletar Camp just now to for the night bazaar. I rushed down after my tuition session and managed to still catch the bazaar cause the games and popcorn were still going on. Saw Msg Goh and RSM drinking with the senior officers. I went off to find other RPs and also other people that I actually know as there are many new faces around. Chatted with a few people and also gave out a few name cards. After walking around, I chatted with RSM, MSG and Mr John the new camp commandant and after chatting for a while, I went back with Danny.
