On Tuesday, we had a new temp called Xian Rong who joined government division and is under Fiona. Well he is so far so good, seems like the honest and quiet kind but it is yet to be seen since he is from AC and can’t be too quiet. After work, all the temp staff headed down to V8 café to celebrate Evon’s birthday. Shawn and I went to get the cake while the rest went to the café first. On Monday, Shawn, Ian and I had dinner there and the food is good and the ambience is relaxing too and on top of that SAFRA members get 15% off the bill so we decided to go back there again. I had the chicken sandwich this time and since I tried the signature dish on Monday, Evon and Ian asked me if it was good and in my opinion it was but it turn out that they did not really enjoy it. After dinner, we sang birthday song for Evon and took photos. We chatted while having the cake and I took a video of Ian destroying the cake to eat the mango in the center. After chatting for a while, we paid the bill and left for the arcade. I played the sniper game and the last game we played was the basketball one and after that we went down to the fountain to take photos. Wonder who came up with the suggestion to run to the centre of the fountain to take photos and Vivian, Evon, Shawn and Ian really did that while I took photos for them and Nathan stood by the side. After watching the fountains for a while we went back.
Valentine’s Day today and it is another lonely day for me. Seeing the many couples together really makes one feel a little sad and cold in the heart. But the feeling is soon gone with other stuff to fill my mind. The office today is in a very light mood with many people getting flowers even Gina who says that she knows her bf enough to know that he will not send her any but surprise, she got a bunch and she called Andrew to ask what is wrong and he was like I give you flowers and you asked me what is wrong with me. Haha its really hard to understand girls sometimes. I teased Gina the whole day too by giving her 2 boxes of really suggestive stuff that look like some vigra like products but its really only ginger and she is always scolding me crazy and when she left the whole office was like hey Gina, remember the protection and stuff. The office people is very interesting and fun which makes the whole experience here very good and hard to leave. When I was about to leave the office today, I saw a guy behaving very weirdly outside RE and I thought its some mad guy and he turns out to be Alicia’s bf who is giving her a surprise and she was indeed surprised when his students turn up to look for jobs and she was wondering if she is doing walk in today. Anyway he is quite creative asking the students to take some photos of them and also releasing the balloons in the meeting room. After the excitement died down, we left for home.
For many during this time, it would be a time of shock and also a time of not knowing how to react and for some it could also be a time of disappointment and sadness. Whatever it is, remember there is a whole forest out there. Seek and you shall find it.
