Are Cars Expensive in Singapore? This is the notion that we have to either support or refute on Saturday for our training on quantitative analysis. The general consensus is that cars in Singapore are really expensive and after which we proceed to have various measures to prove our point. The greatest take away from the session is to really show how you analyze and come to the conclusion and how not to have any loopholes in the calculations and able to explain why you choose certain figures and how you arrive at the conclusion. This week was great in my opinion that we did pretty well and that I managed to pretty much set the notion for our group. Got to work on that area and make it my strength.
Coaching session was after that and well it really set me thinking about what kind of family I would really want to see in the future and how I can work towards it and what kind of actions I can take to work towards the state that I want. Project is well on track and this 2 weeks are crucial in the sense that it will be times where shit happens and we have to be careful not to give up and continue to press on so that we can have a great celebration at the end of our MCW.
I am the events manager for the coming celebration and I also happen to be the youngest person in the whole TCC so I am quite stunned that people actually volunteered me but since they trust in me, I shall do a good job and not disappoint everyone.
Finally went to watch Angels and Demons after the many odds faced. It was illness and my MC for tooth extraction and we are still hit by illness when there it was not a peaceful movie due to someone constantly coughing non stop which was quite disturbing.
The movie was good in my opinion well cannot compare to the actual reading of the book but I think the gist is there and I enjoyed it but a pity that the Vatican Police guy had to die and so brutally.
After the movie, had dinner at Waraku. Food is good and I enjoyed just relaxing and chatting.
Went to Chelsea's Baptism today and so I was alone in the service and well congrats to her for taking this step of faith and pray that God would really shape her and use her for his kingdom. Pity though that we forget to take photos of this important event.
I should also start praying for my baptism.

A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest -
and poverty will come on you like a bandit
and scarcity like an armed man
Proverbs 24:33-34I was going through the retreat file and finding out what I miss from the messages when I stumbled upon this verse from Proverbs. It speaks of examining our own vineyard which is the very first step that we all have to do before we can even see how well can our vineyard spread. To me this speaks of a reminder not to slack off. Many times when we are busy and engulf by the amount of work that we have, we tend to slack off our spiritual development thinking that we can go back to it another day or we are already quite there. But take heed, a little sleep, a little slumber and poverty will come on like a bandit and it comes without us being aware and prepared to defend against. In the end, we will most probably fall to spiritual defeat. Fear not God will always be there for you like how thankful and grateful I am that God never gives up on me but has drawn me back closer to him and when I look back on my life, I realized how foolish I’ve been and I am glad that I woke up before the I am really destroyed. I pray for strength and faith and that after cultivating my own vineyard I can help cultivate others.
Work today was as usual. Boring. I finished my screenshots and learn a bit of Unix System and did some testing.

First day of work at OCBC today. It was rather boring and I spent the whole day playing with the trading system and looking at stock prices. People in the department is really busy and I think more work should be on the way.

It has been a long time since I have last updated and there is so much that I want to put into my blog but I hope I can have the patience to continue typing it and not give it up half way.
I am officially starting work with OCBC as a Technology Intern tomorrow and as of now it is a 6 week internship which pays not bad considering that it is a local bank. I am excited to start work and see how it is like to be doing Business IT in the Bank.
Another thing to be happy about is my results which I have just got back on Friday and well I am quite satisfied with it. I got 4.3 for this semester and managed to overall pull my CGPA up to 4.0. I am quite worried initially and now I am 2nd upper, its time to continue the hard work and maintain my GPA and also pull it up to 4.5. Impossible is nothing and I am the only one that is stopping myself from achieving it. JIA YOU.
Case training this Saturday was quite bad in my opinion. Although most of us had almost the same points and managed to grab the issues, but I feel that my group did not do well in presenting our ideas. Our points are everywhere and there is no structure which makes our case not convincing. We really need to work hard on it or rather I need to work on it too to even be considered to be in the coming competition team to Thailand. Next week is quantitative analysis and well its something that I am not very good in but nevertheless I will work hard and like what Daryl say force yourself to be good at it.
Just came back from church retreat today and although I did slept but I did not really sleep well and was quite tired so I took a nap while Liang Ying, his Mum, Mille and Chai, Dad and Mummy were outside playing Mahjong with Dad and mille watching. We are celebrating Dad's birthday today with mahjong and food from Sakae and Canadian Pizza.
I had the honor of working with Adrian for the games of the retreat and we are all very glad that it worked out well and everyone really had fun playing the games and there was really much fun, laughter and the last game was really cool where everyone was put to the task of building the tallest YA tower and it was great to see the whole YA working together to build a real decent structure which is very tall and almost reached the ceiling and it can also support a handphone which is really remarkable.
As for me, I am really glad to be there for my first YA retreat. I went to the retreat with a happy heart of just having received my results and also when my life is starting to be realign back to God and the messages in the retreat is really a repetition of things we all along knew but in the mist of our busy life have let them slip through our mind and it was a great wake up call and I can especially connect to it after my whole down and ups in my spiritual life. Really Thank God for the speaker and also for me to be able to attend the retreat right after my TCC. During sharing, I also had a group who are all very open and willing to share and it was great learning from each other and also Elder Stephen where he was a wealth of experience to share with us. My takeaway from the retreat is really the importance of discipleship and disciple making. But for me right now, I have to get myself right, have the heart of a disciple of Christ before I can make disciples.
Mouth's still a little numb and I hope I can still enjoy the good food later.
